I experienced a serious technical issue on the GoBid platform while bidding from a desktop computer. There was clearly plenty of time remaining on the auction, STC was off, and the price did not change — yet the bid button was completely unresponsive. Pressing it did nothing and no error or warning was shown. This is not acceptable for an online auction platform. If bids cannot be placed due to system, session, or frontend issues, users must be clearly notified. Allowing a live auction to appear active while silently blocking bids undermines fairness and bidder confidence. An auction system must function exactly as displayed. At present, GoBid’s lack of feedback and reliability during bidding raises serious concerns about transparency and system integrity.
Extremely poor communication and service I bought a vehicle from Auction Nation and needed transport arranged from Cape Town to Johannesburg. Since then, it has been nothing but frustration. Phone calls get redirected to the transport department, but no one answers. I’ve sent multiple emails and received no response at all. There is absolutely no feedback, no updates, and no accountability. When you’re dealing with expensive assets like vehicles, this level of communication is unacceptable. After payment, it feels like the customer is completely ignored. Very disappointed. I expected far better professionalism from a company of this size. I would not recommend Auction Nation unless you’re prepared to chase endlessly for basic service.
Just about 2 years ago, I purchased a 10kWh solar power inverter with 2 lithium batteries from Power Africa. Unfortunately, my experience with their products and customer service has been extremely disappointing.After just over a year, my inverter blew out. It took Power Africa six months to fix it, leaving me without an inverter during this entire period. Now, one of my batteries won't charge to 100% and seems to be broken. Despite struggling for a month to get answers, no one has come back to me with a solution.Overall, my experience with Power Africa has been frustrating and unsatisfactory. I expected much better reliability and customer support for such an important investment.
