My car was parked there from the 12th of April(storage) because it was not drivable and on the 18th of April at 23h15 one of their employees swapped my battery with an old battery and they broke something in there. Very disappointing that you pay for storage but still get your stuff ******. This happened at their wynberg auction nation in Sandton.

I have been trying to get my licence number CA72337 released by Auction Nation since November 2025. On the 28th of August 2025 I was involved in a motor vehicle accident and the vehicle was towed by Auction Nation Cape Town. On the 31st of August 2025 the vehicle was written off by my insurance company. On the 3rd of September 2025 I app**** to have my licence number CA72337 retained. I was issued with a retention letter which is valid for 1 (one) year. On 12 November 2025 I tried to register another vehicle with the licence number CA72337 but I was advised that the licence number is now registered to Auction Nation. On the same day (12 November 2025) I went to Auction Nation Cape Town to request that they please release the licence number. I found a lady called Waleedah (sp) (very unhelpful) and she advised me that the vehicle had already been sold and the buyer had already registered the vehicle in his name. However, the official Natis records still indicate that the licence number is registered to Auction Nation. I have tried, without success, to get the people at Auction Nation Cape Town to put me in touch with the person that allegedly bought the vehicle (by providing him/her with my details) so that I can negotiate receiving my licence number back. Since the official records still indicate that Auction Nation is the registered owner of the vehicle, I kept calling Auction Nation with a view of them releasing the licence number. I was advised to email a lady named Melody (I was given email address: [email protected]) who could apparently help. I sent an email to Melody on 8 February 2026, setting out the history of the matter and requesting her assistance. On the 13th of February 2026 she rep****, indicating that she had requested assistance from the Cape Town office. I have not heard from her since. Despite following up on 11 March 2026 and 2 April 2026 respectively, I have not received any feedback from Melody. I am unable to call her as her signature does not contain a contact number. I have contacted the Western Cape Government's Mobility Department for guidance and they have indicated that licence number CA72337 is currently allocated is on dealer stock with Auction Nation (Pty) Ltd. I have been advised to contact Auction Nation and request that they proceed with the registration and licensing of the mentioned vehicle (which I am assuming is the vehicle that was involved in the accident). Once this is completed, I am advised that licence number CA72337 will return to the system and then I can register it in accordance with my retention letter. Despite all reasonable attempts from my side, I am unable to obtain the co-operation of Auction Nation. In my initial email to Melody, I offered to pay for all the costs associated with the release of this licence number but even that doesn't seem to have nudged them to assist me. The retention letter for my licence number is only valid until 3 September 2026 and I would really like to get my licence number registered in my name before then. I have run out of options on how to obtain assistance from Auction Nation - hence this review. I am hoping that this will land on someone's desk who will be willing to facilitate the release of my licence number.

They ridiculed me for checking on the progress of the refund making me feel petty about my money, they make it sound like I am nagging. It was a 10 business days process and its overdue. When I call they just want to get rid of me, and they do not bother following up. I have been up and down with these guys and there is no single being willing to assist. Try calling them they will take your number and never call you, on the chat you will be passed around like a problem child, Never again

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I have been waiting for my money to be refunded for a long time, and despite sending all the required documents and following up multiple times, there has been no clear response or resolution. Communication is poor, and every time I ask for an update, I either get no answer or new delays. It feels like customers are ignored once payments are involved. This process has been frustrating, unprofessional, and stressful because this is money that rightfully belongs to me. I would not recommend using this service if you expect efficient support or timely refunds. Customers deserve transparency and accountability, and unfortunately that has not been my experience.

To whom it may concern, This email serves as formal notice that I have had enough of the excuses, delays, and complete lack of accountability regarding money that is rightfully owed to me. Payment from Auction Nation is now more than 12 days overdue. Despite numerous follow-ups, I have received nothing but stories. The repeated explanation that “the person who clears payments is not in the office” or that “it will be sorted today” has been used multiple times. Four days have now passed since the last such promise, and still no payment has been made. This is unacceptable and reflects extremely poor service delivery. What is even more concerning is that this issue is clearly not isolated. Auction Nation’s ongoing payment delays and treatment of clients are widely documented on HelloPeter and across social media. It is evident that this has been happening to clients for a long time. The pattern is clear: clients are given the run-around when money is owed to them, yet Auction Nation has no hesitation taking payment promptly when a client buys a vehicle. This shows a complete disregard for client wellbeing and trust. I have tried to resolve this matter professionally and privately. The staff member answering calls has been unhelpful, and internal excuses are repeatedly used to deflect responsibility. Your internal processes, staffing issues, or administration problems are not my concern. At this stage, I do not want stories, explanations, or apologies. I require the following: Immediate confirmation of when payment will be made Proof of payment once processed The contact details of a senior person who will take accountability if this is not resolved today Pay the money owed to me so I can move on and ensure that I do not make use of Auction Nation again due to this level of service. If this matter is not resolved without further delay, I will have no choice but to escalate it further, including formal complaints and public platforms where this ongoing behaviour is already being highlighted. I expect a response today.

I bought a vehicle at Auction Nation in Durban. They sent us an invoice around 19:00 on Tuesday and by 20:00, I had already settled the invoice. I emailed the transport department on Wednesday, I got no response, yesterday I phone about 6 times and sent 2 follow ups but no response. Today I sent another follow up and called twice, still nothing. Apparently only one person works in the transport department. It left me wondering if they cant deliver an invoice via email, what about a whole car? Please what is the way forward and please do not give me the email address [email protected] because its useless. Its either the lady who works there is the most *********** human being I have ever encountered or she is too swamped since she is the only one. Please look into this and get her to work or get someone to assist her.

Extremely poor communication and service I bought a vehicle from Auction Nation and needed transport arranged from Cape Town to Johannesburg. Since then, it has been nothing but frustration. Phone calls get redirected to the transport department, but no one answers. I’ve sent multiple emails and received no response at all. There is absolutely no feedback, no updates, and no accountability. When you’re dealing with expensive assets like vehicles, this level of communication is unacceptable. After payment, it feels like the customer is completely ignored. Very disappointed. I expected far better professionalism from a company of this size. I would not recommend Auction Nation unless you’re prepared to chase endlessly for basic service.

Got into an accident, my car was taken to them with the car track. They sold the car, now I have a new car and I need the car track unit. Both I and the insurance have been asking for the contact number of the buyer so car track can uninstall the unit. However, no one is getting back to us. I’m currently driving a car with no car track because you guys refuse to get ahold of the buyer so we can arrange the tracker to get removed. Should anything happen, I just want you guys to know you’ll be liable. Calling you is useless, the number is never answered. Got into an accident, my car was taken to them with the car track.
