I am so disappointed with Absa activation short term vehicle insurance group. On the 12th March 2025 I signed up to take a vehicle insurance with them, on the following day they sent me my insurance documentation and I noticed two things that were not properly worded in terms of my personal information which could affect me in a long run should I lodge a claim. I immediately contacted to no avail. They are not picking my phone calls! I even lodged a complaint with their complaints department. On an email they sent me it was clearly written that they will take only 2 to 5 days to resolve my matter, till this day they have not gotten back to me!! I called the complaints department on my cellphone and they made me wait till I finished R150 worth of airtime not getting back to me!! Today is the 27th of March and I went to their branch nearest to me to maybe phone them using their telephone. I am telling you it is tiresome as I have to wait holding a line the whole 30 minutes and is not being answered!! What kind of a relationship is this? Is it a **** or what,?? To beat them at their game I called at the branch pretending to lodge a claim and they responded in 3 to 5 seconds just like that!! But when am calling to say my policy documentations is worded wrong they not picking up! So when their consultant picked thinking I was lodging a claim I told her about my frustration and requested to cancel the policy and said she is forwarding me to a cancelations department. She has been forwarding me for the past hour or so to no avail, no one assisting me with nothing. What kind of business relationship is this really ? Am so disappointed with absa as am taking my matter forward to the Onbudsmen, I have to exercise every right I have starting here with Hellopeter and all reviews rating sites to my social media accounts, because am being taken for granted here!! 😡
I have had a good business relationship with this car service and repair center. Brought in my car with a clutch problem last year, they fixed it without any defects detectable afterwards. This year brought in the same car for service and I asked them to check certain strange sounds coming out of the front wheel drives. They checked said it was due to defects in the suspension. Gave them the car to fix and been driving it the whole week everything is in order. Thank you Tanya and Isabel right there and your technicians behind doing the work. Continue shining!

I was with Discovery insuring a motor vehicle for the short duration of 4months (November 2019 to February 2020) and my car was involved in an accident on February 2020 Discovery Insurer paid the market value of R252k ASAP, no hustles no long questions no tucking no yucking and being referred back to my contract whatsoever. IT was a smooth process. Luckily I had a shortfall insurance which covered the remaining balance of R50k. During this lockdown am good without a car, and when in the future I decide to buy another vehicle definitely my first preference would be with Discovery, I had a good relationship with them shame.
