Skyworth / Sinotec as a supplier and manufacturer do not honor their warranty in terms of treating clients fairly. I requested them to replace my with a similar unit to what i had. Instead they are trying to get rid of me and push me away to the retailer for a cash refund. Reference. 556977
The service received from Skyworth / Sinotec on a warranty claim was very poor. They do not treat customers fairly and will never place their customer back in the position they were in prior to the loss. They had brushed me off back to the retailer Pick n Pay although the warranty is held by them and not the retailer. I requested them to replace my unit, however Skyworth / Sinotec advised that I must go to Pick n Pay and get a refund from them for what I paid 3 years ago and try to by another unit even though it puts me out of pocket for about R2500 more. This is very unfair to any consumer as we are not advised off this when purchasing the unit
