I am writing to formally demand the immediate cancellation of a new MTN contract I entered into five (5) days ago. I explicitly requested to retain my existing MTN number (073 430 1017) for this contract. Since the upgrade/activation, my SIM settings have completely changed, and I wish to cancel this agreement immediately—prior to the first billing cycle scheduled for the 30th. I have spent literal hours being passed from pillar to post with zero resolution: • MTN Sales refuses to cancel, claiming Customer Care must handle it because billing has not yet occurred (CPA cancellation). • MTN Customer Service refuses to cancel, claiming it must be processed by I-Talk (an MTN-acquired entity). • I-Talk Support is entirely unreachable; calls ring indefinitely without answer. • Management Escalation: I have emailed the Team Leader, Kadimo, and included Cheryl, but my correspondence is being actively ignored. I am well within my legal rights to a 5-day cooling-off period for cancellation without penalty. MTN's internal departmental confusion and I-Talk's non-responsiveness do not absolve you of your legal obligations to process this request. I require immediate intervention to: 1. Halt the upcoming billing scheduled for the 30th. 2. Revert my SIM settings back to my original prepaid/previous contract state. 3. Confirm this cancellation in writing. Please contact me urgently to resolve this matter today. Contact Number: 073 430 1017 Alternative Email: [email protected]
From last week Wed I am trying to get through this department. I need an early withdrawal from my accsave account. No call back and i hold the line for over 2 hours with no one picking up. I need a call back urgently 073 430 1017
Very bad service, I still do not have my refund after weeks!! A lot of excuses, different excuses. Manager is always busy and cannot take calls. emailed Khomisani but does not respond to emails. Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic is all I can say.
Hi Peter Saw a review with no responses and goes as below, i also have the same problem and need to know how i can sort this out. i am now getting emails and phone calls from ********** Dear Hello Peter, I was contacted by the 'white pages business entries' and was told to update my details as this number now belongs to me and not the previous company they had on file. I was sent a document and asked to fill it in numerous times. So I did. They then send me an invoice for R9000 saying this is the service a applied for - which I had no idea was being offered, nor did I ask for. I told them that this must be some sort of mistake as that is not what the lady on the phone was asking for as the White Pages. They told me to look back at the contract which, in blurry fine print, basically says 'Free Service, but you must R9000.' I assured them that this is a mistake and I was not told about any service that they offer (still assuming they are the white pages and merely wanted my details) and would not like such service - they told me that there is nothing they can do and I must pay or they will send lawyers onto me. I filed a report to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman which sent them an email and has had no response till this day. I now get phone calls weekly being threatened to make payment. After the now fourth phone call and argument with the debt collecting agency - I went to the police station to file a report and to get their number blocked or something - they advised me to go to the ombudsman and to contact HelloPeter - which I am now doing as i have already gone to the Ombudsman. I don't know what to do and I do not want to deal with this company trying to scam me continuously anymore. I have Googled them and it seems to be a common scam under other business names. (There is a lot more detail to this story but this about sums it up) Emails used to contact me
