I rented a very poorly built unit for 12 months through this agency. During this time I feel my relationship with the property owner was terrible and that Allegiance Properties was unhelpful and un-supportive. When the 12 months was done they refused to give me my deposit even though we never missed rent and treated the unit as our own. The owner claimed he needed 90% of our deposit to repaint our unit, which we left in immaculate condition, with the exception of a squeaky door from door hooks you hang on the door (happy to fix that). The unit LEAKED AND FLOODED from Day 1. once we came back from Holiday and our Bedroom was drenched. We have had water damage on our appliance from a Leakey roof in the lounge. Yet not once did we skip rent or harm the property. of my R8500 Deposit the Owner want to claim over R7000 for repainting the entire unit, despite its leaking and flooding which he never sorted out in the 12 months we lived there. The bathrooms had no mirrors and the island in the kitchen was wobbly. It blows my mind that the owner expects me to cover the expense of repainting a unit which flooded and leaked non-stop. I am disappointed because we really took care of the space. I am disappointed because we are a small family that cant be financing a land owners negligence of his property. It saddens me that single mothers who are respectful and nurturing to property are exploited by slumlords through administration which consistently ignores cries for support and help. I have sent countless emails to my agent requesting help in my living situation and literally no support. I am not satisfied with this service and recommend you look further for your rental home support.
After a week for struggling to get assistance; i was refereed to Ms Chareen Lourens. she was able to scrutinize the events of the day in question and find glaring disparities in the way events unfolded on the 30th. Chareen has championed my refund and just sent a proof of payment. I am grateful that the Lakes hotel has taken disciplinary action against the waitrons in question for scamming me over R1000. If ever you have a legitimate bill query, please trust that her investigation s****s are above par and she will assist you.
I was a speaker at the Women's Day event at the Lakes Hotel.. The Lakes hotel Fed us a delicious breakfast followed buy lovely snack breaks and a large buffet Dinner. My colleagues and I decided to stay and wait traffic out while we enjoyed the atmosphere. we ordered a bottle of wine which my colleague paid for. We then ordered another one which i offered to pay for. The wine was R125. I used my card to pay for it. a week later whilst looking over my transaction history on my banking app, i noticed an amount of R1250.00 had been debited to The Lakes hotel and conference. I immediately called and asked for my refund and was put through to their food and beverage manager Marius Evert. while the gentleman was helpful in tracking the purchase, he was unavailable to refund me as the bill showed that 3 Sirloins, cool-drinks and ****tails had been purchased on the account, NONE of which we ordered or ate as we had been at a fully catered event. I am uncertain if this is blatant theft by the waiter or if there was a genuine bill error, however that fact that i have lost over R1000 without anything to show for is significantly distressing to me. The unwillingness to assist with CCTV footage is further alarming. I fear that the waitrons at this establishment may be taking advantage of clients and stealing large potions from people like me.
