Taking a 7 month old laptop into a local repair store to replace the keyboard invalidates the warranty, who would have thunk. I should have stayed far away from 'refurbished'
So sick and tired of FNB, great 'digital' bank that has taken 3 months of my time to try and get my refunds processed successfully. What takes so long ??? The escalation department even had to get escalated. Mickey mouse stuff FNB. I settled my 4 accounts in Dec, my debt practitioners paid again in Jan, citing holidays as the pathetic reason why the instructions weren't updated, and to date FNB have refunded 1 account in Jan, 1 in Feb and now 1 in Mar. I am nonplussed, how hard is it for a 'digital' bank to refund 4 accounts correctly at the same time ? Maybe by April I'll finally have some relief, but the way it's going that may be in 2024
While the process started off so well, the customer service afterwards that you get charged for monthly is non-existent. Mails don't get answered, debit order dates get changed without approval and open tickets get closed after 1 missed call. There is no way to escalate to supervisors, management if such a thing even exists. Reviewing your info on their website is an exercise in frustration as nothing is correctly reflected and when queried, DB will always blame whoever else they can, be it the creditors, the credit bureau or the distribution agents. Biggest thing I am currently thankful for is I'll be done with all of their ridiculousness in 2 months, thank heavens. Absolutely painful company to interact with. Will never recommend.
