I was looking for a particular solar connector and cable, so I telephone Brights Boston. After being on hold I spoke to an assistant who assured me that Brights had that type of cable and connector. I drove to Brights Boston the next day. Firstly the 'electrical query' queue system is not great: I was in a queue on the right of some shelves and people kept going up to the assistant on the left side of the shelves and asking their questions. Next the 2 assistants tripped the whole shop while plugging an appliance into the live mains... Eventually I got to ask my questions. The assistant had no knowledge of the plugs/connector but did try and ask another member of staff. Then he took me to the aisle and showed me what plugs they had: none of which were fit for purpose. Behind the assistant was rolls of solar cable, so I was hoping that meant that the staff would have some information about solar connectors. It would have save me time and frustration if the person I had spoken to on the telephone has just said that Brights does not have those items.
We visited Kirstenbosch on Tuesday and had lunch at Moyo restaurant. There was a wait for a table but that was understandable as it was raining and the outside seating was not being used much. It is great that there is a pensioner's menu on a Tuesday. Our waiter was friendly and wrote our order down. The regular menu has been updated. The chicken and beef sandwiches on pumpkin bread with hand cut chips were delicious and the portions were generous. The only major drawback was the wait for 40 minutes for food. We had lots of time but if people are pressed for time (eg have to catch the open top bus) or want to spend more time in the gardens, maybe pack a picnic.
Unfortunately Snatcher has rep**** to a request to return a poor quality item as 'unable to assist'. Their reason: the camping chair was not broken when they shipped it. The fact that the chair broke on 1st use (within 30 days of receiving the item) indicates a substandard product, not fit for purpose and it failed to meet reasonable demands. The Consumer Protection Act covers this but Snatcher do not seem to be bound by South African law. That is my experience so far. However, even online stores are subject to the CPA. And I will be taking the matter further. So, please bear this in mind if you choose to buy products on Snatcher. You may see items in stock, pay for them and then are informed that there is no stock. It will be interesting to see if I can get a credit changed to a refund as I won't be shopping at Snatcher again. Snatcher send incorect items, incorrect colours and when a product is faulty and breaks....they say they cannot help you. That is not customer service.
Great communication and service. Mxolisi, the driver was following all the PPE guidelines and was very friendly and professional. Thanks Brad for your updates. Awesome way to support local suppliers and farms in the Western Cape. Thanks for offering a recycling option for the packaging too.
Thanks to the professional and friendly team at Neovision Durbanville. They went the extra mile to assist my grandmother (98, hearing impairment) with her eye test and spectacle selection. They stayed late on a Friday and even checked what the medical aid would cover. Great service and my grandmother loves her new specs. Thank you Karen and team.
I'm trying to give the company a chance to answer questions about poor battery life (<2 hours) and lag in programme loading (i7, 1TB HDD). The laptop is less than 1 year old. So the email address on their home page is incorrect and when one goes through the slow process of filling in their online complaint form and finally gets to the captcha, an error message appears. I tried 3 times and then the page reverted to the start of the process. Seriously? I doubt anyone from ASUS is reading this (as see no other feedback was answered). Please prove me wrong and allow a customer to make contact.
Thank you Nonkululeko for your prompt help on the call and arranging someone to come and provide roadside assistance.
Very friendly and helpful in an after hours insurance call out to do a tyre change. Thank you.
Thank you for the helpful and quick tyre replacement plus going the extra mile (adjusting the handbrake).
Locally made and tasty icecream and frozen yoghurt. Mango is my favourite. Thanks to the team at newly established Nina's Icecream. #greatbusiness
