To whom it may concern It is quite fitting that your website address begins with "hello" (so does hellopeter.com) I approached Rochester/JD Group last week 05 September 2017 to apply for credit as my wife had seen a lounge suite she really liked in your Fourways Branch. (Angelo Range) I was contact by your head office and then subsequently sent numerous text messages to remind me to take my documentation to the relevant store as I had "pre-qualified" This I did on Wednesday 06 September 2017, where I was given forms to fill in and an email address to return such forms. This is where my nightmare experience with Rochester began. I had to follow-up on Friday only to be told that the sales lady I was dealing with was off and that I would have to wait until she returned. Again on Saturday I called, the phone rang off the hook twice before eventually being answered by the sales lady, only to be told that it is a lengthy process and that I must just wait. (IT IS EASIER and FASTER TO BUY A CAR) I had eventually given up hope at this stage only to receive a call on Sunday 10 September 2017 to tell me that all was now sorted and that I must please come in to sign the contract and debit order. This I duly did. I was then told that I would be able to take delivery of my goods by Wednesday 13 September 2017 after a phone call from your delivery guys. AGAIN i HAD TO CALL JD GROUP. AGAIN I WAS PLACED ON HOLD FOR OVER 20 MINS!!!!!!!!!!! TO BE TOLD THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM, HEAD OFFICE HAD TO MAIL THE BRANCH......WHY CAN NOBODY MAKE PHONE CALL AND COMMUNICATE????? I called the branch an hour later to be told that I did not qualify for credit and that it would be better to just cancel the whole deal and ROCHESTER were no longer interested in me as a client. I was told that I do not earn enough???????????????????????????? SO WHY TELL ME ALL IS GOOD TO GO? I APPLIED FOR 15 K CREDIT............ AND IF I DO NOT GET A PROPER RESPONSE OR OFFICIAL APOLOGY, THIS MAIL WILL BE FORWARDED ALONG WITH ANY RESPONSE/NON-RESPONSE TO ANY AND ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. AND WE WILL SETTLE THIS IN OTHER WAYS I FIND THIS ATTITUDE SHOCKING TO SAY THE LEAST. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! This mail is by no means a case of "sour g****s", merely a reminder that no matter who you deal with, SERVICE IS KING!! and COMMUNICATION IS KEY! To Top it off. I get a call the next morning to say that my deal has not been cancelled and that they will get someone to call me ..... 24 hours later, I still wait patiently. I was also informed that the debit order authorization I had filled in would be deducted!!!! PLEASE GO AHEAD AND TRY!!!! No Response, no acknowledgement from Rochester...... well.... Hello Peter!
