I used Tinder in the early 2000's, it was a refreshing way to meet someone. Tinder 2024 is absolute dog****, it's effectively made it virtually IMPOSSIBLE to find someone you like. EVEN IF YOU PAY THE RIDICULOUS SUBSCRIPTION IT MAKES 0% DIFFERENCE. Here is what ANY Tinder user will experience. Want to invest some time into finding a soul mate to share your life with? Here is 50 000 000 profiles of people you are not interested in. When you go through all of them and like a person, and they too spend years swiping left and then swipe right on you as well. Then you will be matched, but it would be too late because you both will have died of old age. I asked Tinder to put in a "Race filter" and I know they won't do it for political reasons. BTW you can discriminate against potential profiles on literally everything humanly possible from: age, hight, social/sleeping habits, pets, smoking, drinking, exercise etc. BUT THE ONE THING THAT ACTUALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE e.g. RACE NO. YOU WILL SIT THERE AND HAVE 1000 PROFILES (YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN) SHOVED DOWN YOUR TROUGHT AND YOU WILL LIKE IT OR **** YOU. So if your idea of finding love is swiping left on 1000 profiles hoping that you find 1 that you would even consider, then give them your money. The odds of them fining your profile between the 50 000 000 other people they are also not interested in is astronomical. You have a better odds of finding someone you like using goole earth than Tinder. You will win the lottery before you match with someone you like. I have used it for 3 days. I have 34 people who like my profile. I'm not interested in a single one because I want a partner that has the same culture, values and speaks the same language I do. Tinder has bought out all the competition and have made their product effectively 100% useless to any minority group using it. Leaving you with no alternative. You can customize inconsequential bull**** filters to your hearts content but the bottom line is: The homeless person down the street has exactly the same odds of being suggested to you as your soul mate. So here is 60 000 000 profiles, you go sort this **** out. Because it's clearly not Tinders job, they are there to collect money and the longer you spend sifting through bull**** profiles the more they make.
I have a 10Mb ADSL line with telkom. Lets first be clear that the bandwidth issues has nothing to do with the internet service provider, this is telkom. The line is rated 10Mb. The highest speed it has ever achieved is 4.4 Mbps download and a PATHETIC 20 Kbps upload. So in all fairness telkom owes me more than 50% of my money back right off the bat. The line is unstable, internet shuts off at its own will and 1 out of every pings MINIMUM returns "Request timed out." Sometimes my ping with no internet download or upload activity is +- 3000 ms. Then when you call telkom, they reset the limiter on your connection ask for a router restart and then your line runs at about 7 Mbps download and a tragic 40 Kbps upload. That's right you read correctly, they can limit and shape your connection at will. I PAID FOR THE BANDWITH!!!!!!!!!! IT DOES NOT BELONG TO TELKOM. But in order to deliver pathetic service to the whole country they steal bandwidth from users and distribute it as needed. This way every one pays top dollar and every one shares the same WORTHLESS connection as averaged over millions of users. I have reported the line at least 40 times. I thought if I remained a big enough thorn in their side they would give in. NO luck. They wholeheartedly don't give a ****. Im pretty sure they cant help me as their infrastructure cant handle it. They are literally stealing from everyone. To put this into perspective. Its like you buy a 3.2L ford ranger and ford can at their will remotley downgrade it to a 0.8L. Besides the point that it never performed better than a 1.6 L in the first place. Its total and utter madness. Ive had a technician personally confess to me that he is only providing me with a temporary solution as the line will default back to its pathetic state within a short period. Here is the cherry on top. Telkom are deterring customers from logging requests for technicians by FINING them if they find "no problem" with the line. You can now be charged an unnecessary callout fee if they find no fault with the line. You may not tamper with the utility box or test it yourself so you just have to swallow their "assessment". So basically if you are not happy with your line or the **** service they provide they will fine you for asking to fix it. This is the most vindictive monopoly business in SA. Disgusting. Im frothing and seething with hatred at the arrogance and pure audacity of your business conduct. You are truly without integrity, conscience and honor. You should be prosecuted like any other thief. Have a look at the speed test. Look at the space of the graph that is encircled in red. That's the line I have. The upload and download numbers exhibited are maximums and thus totally a misrepresentation and misleading. If this speed test was averaged the numbers would be 3.7 Mbps download and 30 Kbps upload.
