Useless
They are beyond pathetic, earlier today I placed my order and selected the timeslot for 6-7 the afternoon. Just past 4 I received a call that they are outside with my delivery... I told him that he is way too early and that I'm still working. He took the order back and I had to re-order everything again (I knew I shouldn't have but I couldn't wait for my money to be released from their side for my things) and pay an additional fee for delivery once again. I got my daughter from school and we just walked into the flat past 5 when I received a phone call that the driver is outside. Luckily I was at home but just shows you how *********** Checkers and their staff is getting.

Poor
They deducted my payment on the 5th instead of the 10th, now I must pay another debit order bounce due to their mistakes. Please ppl make sure you rather pay via eft and not debit order.

Useless verby met empty promises

Ek het Januarie 2024 my kind Se Skool skoene in gevat Vir nuwe buckles. Die ou Kon net die een skoen doen want hy het gewag Vir die nuwe buckles, let Wel ek het oor die R300 betaal Vir die 'belofte'. Hy het eventually n Ander kind Se skoolskoen buckle op my kind s’n gesit net as n tydelike solution. Hy het gese as ek weer ooit daarnatoe kom Dan Moet ek die skoene inbring Dan sal hy die nuwe buckle Vir my opsit. Ek het gevra Vir n slip of iets as n bewyse maar hy het gese dis Nie nodig Nie, hy sal my onthou as hy my Sien. Nie te Min, gister toe ek daarso was toe is die man blykbaar op verlof en die Ander een wat instaan kan Nie help Nie. Hy Bly insist op bewyse...my #@$& ek het Januarie dit gedoen en Nou Moet ek wat.....bank toe Gaan ek statements Gaan trek en hopenlik sal dit as bewyse tel. Ek het hom gevra om op die cameras te kyk toe word ek gese hy het Nie toegang tot dit Nie. Hy het die ou wat my daai tyd gehelp probeer boodskap stuur, en ek het hom seker 4 gese on n foto van my kind Se skoene te vat en ook Vir die man te stuur Maar hy het eenkant toe beweeg en stil gebly. Naderhand het hy net weer gese hy Kort bewyse ens. Want die ou reply Nie. Ek is n enkel ma wat bitter baie skaars by daai plek uitkom, so Nou Moet ek rondloop met n dogtertjie die hele dag lank en hoop en bid die man wat my gehelp het reply. Nooit ooit weer sal ek enige iemand recommend na die plek toe Nie. Useless verby.

Misleading delivery promises online.
I bought a fridge and a stove using Makro online, it showed that delivery will take 2-5 working days, I am now into 'working day 7" the status still shows the same like it did two days ago. I had to phone in twice regarding this and somehow they keep mixing my order number up with one of my other order numbers, they keep on giving me the same status which I can clearly read on their online system. Every time I ask them why their system shows 2-5 working days when it obviously isn't so "it's misleading' they tell me that they will check and come back. Still no phone call received from them. My advise to the public - don't use this online system.

FRAUDS - LIAR - NO SERVICE
Never ever ever take out a contract with these people, not only are they frauds but there is no service whatsoever. Don't even bother to email or phone them. I didn't receive an email reply yet and was holding on for 32 minutes on the line to get through. I took out a contract for the Explora 3 with them, not even 2 months ago. Yesterday on 05.06.2019 they debited my account twice, in the morning they took R149.00 and later the day R139.00 I queried this via email but like I explained on top - NO SERVICE. I want them to take the fuc*#!#* decoder back, and shove it up their fraudulent asses. I should've read all the bad reviews on Hello Peter first before I took the contract out with them - my bad. And I see was scammed the same way as many other people on their complaints - I was also informed that my current decoder would not work with dstv in another year, that is why they are running a promotion now. I want my money back.
