A huge thank you to Stephenie, Christo and Ian
We would like to thank Stephenie, Christo and Ian for the speedy, professional service that we were given. Their friendly, educated manner in addressing our issue made us and our client feel at ease and that the problem would be resolved. You are an awesome team and it is such a pleasure to have met you all. It is not often that a supplier is willing to come up with a solution without placing the blame on the end user.

WesBank

Money, Money, Money!!!! at the expense of customer service!!!
On 28 July 2020, I received a call from an individual who stated that they were acting on behalf of Wesbank. Due to the arrears on my vehicle financing, which was as a result of COVID 19 Lockdown, they said that there is nothing more that I can do and that the bank has instructed them to repossess my vehicle. I applied for COVID Relief in April and then again in May and had no response on either of my applications, and I have been trying to make part payments as I could. This individual then proceeded to "repossess" my vehicle as I was under the impression that the bank had instructed them to do so. After a bit of research, I realised that the courts are not issuing court orders for repossession at the moment, and that the individual / company that was "acting on behalf of Wesbank" were in fact a Tracer company and that they had in essence duped me into voluntarily handing my vehicle back to the bank due to unaffordability. When I contacted these people and requested the official instruction from the bank which gave them the authority to repossess my vehicle, they blocked me on all forms of communication. I then requested from Wesbank the details of their procedure when it comes to identifying an account as being necessary for repossession and the procedure that they follow in such an instance. I am still waiting for a response in this regard. I contacted Wesbank on 29 July 2020 and informed them of the whole situation and requested their assistance in having my vehicle released back to me. I was informed that I need to pay all the arrears in order for my vehicle to be released. I told them that due to the COVID I was not working and was unable to pay the amount they required. I even again forwarded my COVID Relief applications, to no avail. I managed to come up with the necessary money to have my vehicle released, and paid it over from FNB to Wesbank (Same bank) and was told that my vehicle will be released when the funds are showing in their account - this took 3 days. (Normally payments from 1 bank to another is overnight, not sure why from FNB to Wesbank which is the same bank, it took 3 days to reflect). I had to keep contacting Wesbank with regards to my vehicle being released, only to be lead around the bush again. Wesbank had 3 days to verify my details and get my documents ready, but they waited until I contacted them again. I now had to fill in forms and send them back, this took more than a day to get the forms to me, because the insurance documents that I supplied to Wesbank were supposedly not enough and they needed to verify with the insurance company (again, this took a whole day for Wesbank to find someone who can speak Afrikaans to be able to verify my insurance policy). I am utterly disappointed with the service I received with regards to this matter, and that Wesbank was unable to firstly assist me with a COVID payment holiday, which would have prevented this whole situation. Secondly, that there is no follow up from their side, I had to keep following up and phoning to get feedback on the situation, and thirdly, that Wesbank supports fraudsters and scammers because this Tracing company that "repossessed" my vehicle surely got paid for their hard work in recovering a bad debt for the bank. What is shocking is that when I asked to speak to a manager or someone who could make an immediate decision, I got sidelined. Well, it is 2 weeks since this ordeal took place, and I am still waiting for someone at Wesbank to be able to speak or read Afrikaans, so that they can verify that the information in my insurance policy is true!!! I am Wesbank's client and I tried to follow the right channels, but I guess that is not what is important to them. Money, Money, Money!!!! at the expense of customer service!!!
