What a horrible funeral Palour! My aunt put in a cash payout claim in January after my uncle’s passing and to date she hasn’t been paid out! I’ve visited their offices, called and sent follow ups soooo many times to Niresh and he’s still not paid! He continues to lie that he will process the payment and send the proof of payment but nothing has been paid! My late grandmother joined this funeral Palour way back in the 90s and my aunt took over the premiums after her passing and she’s had very little claims and this if the service we get after so many years of being loyal to this funeral Palour! I am disgusted by Niresh’s lies and poor customer service! I will be reporting them to the Ombudsman as this is totally unacceptable!

Good day Just before 11am today, one of your funeral processions blatantly, *******ly and recklessly ignored a red traffic light on Beyers Naude in Johannesburg. This was completely unnecessary and completely *******, putting innocent lives in danger. There were 4 cars in the procession, flashing their hazards. Absolutely no reason for them to ignore a clearly red traffic light. Is this how you try to boost your business? By endangering other drivers innocently going about their business? Please stop. Traffic laws are there to protect lives, not to put money in your pocket by deliberately causing accidents.

I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment regarding the conduct of your staff member, Pratish, during the funeral arrangements for our late brother. During this difficult time of bereavement, we expected compassion, professionalism, and respect for our customs. Unfortunately, Pratish’s attitude and actions caused unnecessary distress to our grieving family. One of our primary concerns was his dismissive and rude behavior when we requested to bathe the body on the day of the funeral—an important part of our tradition. Instead of being understanding, he made inappropriate comments about the family not being prepared with oil, despite having prevented a full shower, which made it impossible for us to use the oil as required by our rituals. His anger and unprofessional demeanor upon our arrival at the funeral parlor only added to our distress. Additionally, during the ceremonial breaking of the pot, which is traditionally performed by the son of the deceased and the uncle, Pratish disregarded our customs by rushing the process and walking around the coffin with his shoes on. In Indian tradition, shoes must be removed as a sign of respect, and his actions were highly offensive. Furthermore, the driving of the he**** and the following vehicle to the venue hall and crematorium was conducted in a reckless manner, as though they were racing. This made it extremely difficult for mourners to keep up, adding unnecessary stress to an already emotional day. It is also concerning that, to date, Morgan’s passing has not been acknowledged on your funeral home’s Facebook page, as is customary for other funerals you handle. This omission, along with Pratish’s overall handling of the arrangements, has left us feeling disrespected and hurt. A funeral home is entrusted with ensuring dignity and respect in a family's most vulnerable moments. The experience we had was deeply disappointing, and we request that this matter be addressed promptly. We look forward to your response on how you intend to rectify this situation to ensure that no other grieving family experiences such insensitivity.

We buried my aunt yesterday and I very disgusted thinking that a funeral and not a car race. My late Aunt lived in Lenasia passed on on Christmas Day and was buried on the 28 the December at West Park cemetery. To keep up with the he**** we have to drive 180 to keep up with him. It was a race car and not funeral. We stuck to our times to make sure that we did not delay, but as far as I am concerned, they are just interested in money and that is it. It was rushing to dump the body and just going onto the next one. SO ****EN ****EN SAD. Just no ****EN care in the ****EN world. ****EN ****EN disgrace.
