Pepper Chair used to be a very nice restaurant to go to. Ot went downhill though. I got my mash potatoes with a piece of the basting brush in it. The manager send me a message that it’s only the hair of the basting brush. I didn’t want a refund. Just a proper apology!!!!

We've been regulars at this restaurant for almost three years, visiting every week and always ordering the same dishes. However, our most recent experience was disappointing. The waiter asked if we'd made a reservation, and when we said no, he imp**** we couldn't be seated. This was a surprise, as we'd never been asked about reservations before. When he later offered to find space for us, it seemed like an afterthought. Given our loyalty, I was expecting better service. As a result, we won't be returning.👍

Ordered a 600Gr T Bone sent back 350gr+ because its was C or D class meat. Was prepared to pay half or 75% the price. Staff wanted to get clever and cause a scene. Paid the whole bill and left. Wont ever see me again after 20 years being a loyal customer eating there 4-6times a month. So much for being a loyal customer. Apparently the owner/s said sorry no discount for poor food. I have about 30 mates that will now move away from them. Thats R20-30k a month they will loose. Thanks guys but you have dropped the ball.

We booked a table, explaining about 4 times where we wanted to sit, which was at the pint of sale. When we got there the table was given away and the waiter was extremely rude!!!

My wife and myself had our 20th anniversary dinner at the Pepper Chair in Lyttleton. What a wonderful experience. They decorated the table in a cozy, romantic corner and even gave us a bottle of champagne on the house, Their service, gourmet food and excellent atmosphere is out of this world. i will most certainly do all anniversaries and functions at this world class restaurant. Five Star!!!!!

I went to pep stores in Umtata yesterday 12 Dec 17 to pay dstv, load cash to my pep card and buy airtime but my time there got cut short by a cashier with a horrible attitude whose name is Zodwa. When I was busy with dstv I gave her my ID then she asked the name of the owner and I replied with "its mine" then she gave me a horrible look and said "I don't know your name" wow ok how was I suppose to know she wants the name that's on the ID she's holding. Then I gave her my name and she gave me the receipt not even looking at me waving at a guy who was passing the store. Now I have to tell this lady I also want to add money to my pep card a person that's already irritated. She took my card and first helped a customer of a cashier that's next to her without even telling me what's going on then helped me when done. I couldn't even buy airtime I wanted to be out of there and I had to go queue at another pep for airtime. Store number on my receipt is 0185-Umtata. Landline ********** 935. Please ask when doing interviews if the person really wants the job.
