Honestly if there were a lower rating, I'd opt for it. A one star rating for Paygate is one star too many.
As a merchant, we have received despicable service. We have been patient and understanding since July 24th 2023, until today (13 Sep 2023). We still haven't been helped. We have been sent from pillar to post for almost two months and the issue still hasn't been resolved. All we receive is "The issue has been escalated", "we're working on a fix", "give us until the first week of September". We cannot get hold of the person that's supposed to help us (Adriaan - The team leader and manager). He has made endless empty promises, he assured us that they had fixed it a week ago, yet nothing has been done, the issue still persists. Now we can't get hold of him. He's either in meetings, unavailable, left for the day, on lunch or sick.
We run a subscription service. We are unable to do transactions from our side (process or cancel payments). We have to ask Paygate to do it for us, which is a complete nightmare because we have to wait at least two days for it to be done. We have to s**** feed, if we don't constantly call or email, nothing gets done. We have lost time, revenue, and countless opportunities and they just don't seem to care. Our business has come to a complete halt.
The staff at Paygate have proved to be ***********, unprofessional, unreliable and ************* as they don't stick to their word. They lack communication and customer service.
In the past two months we have dealt with Adriaan Cronje, Phelisa Balfour, Ilyaas A, Connor Netherlands , who have all proved to be unreliable. The only saving grace at Paygate is Charne, although she's only a receptionist, she was the only understanding and apologetic employee.
If you run a business and you're thinking about using Paygate, I don't recommend it.
If you're the owner of Paygate, I'd take a look at your employees. They're tarnishing your businesses reputation.
