Based on recent customer reviews, NMG Benefits is facing significant customer experience challenges, particularly around pension and provident fund withdrawals. Customers consistently report severe delays, broken SLAs, poor communication, and lack of accountability. While a handful of named agents receive praise for exceptional service, the overwhelming pattern is one of frustration, escalations going nowhere, and clients waiting months for payouts that should take weeks.
The most common complaint about NMG Benefits, based on Hellopeter's AI analysis of recent customer reviews, is Communication & Responsiveness. Customers describe a near-total communication breakdown. Emails ignored for weeks, call centre hold times exceeding 30 minutes, WhatsApp queries unanswered, and escalations producing no callback. Updates only arrive when clients chase, and information from agents is frequently contradictory.

Extremely disappointed with the service received from NMG Benefits. I have been trying for almost 2 months to get assistance regarding my withdrawal claim after resigning from my previous employer, and nobody responds properly to emails or follows through. Every time I go onto the website, someone calls quickly and promises assistance, asks for all my information and documents, and then completely disappears afterwards. Emails go unanswered for days and even weeks. WhatsApp support does not work, and there is no proper communication or feedback provided. I have repeatedly followed up, sent my ID number, company details, and multiple reminder emails, yet I am still sitting without any update on my withdrawal status. It feels like customers are ignored once their information has been submitted. The lack of communication and urgency is extremely frustrating and stressful, especially when dealing with important financial matters. I sincerely hope someone from management contacts me urgently to resolve this matter because the current service experience has been unacceptable.

I still fail to understand how companies continue to use NMG as fund administrators when there are so many negative reviews with the exact same complaints. It’s becoming very clear that clients are not valued or prioritised. Sadly, I’ve now also fallen victim to this experience. My withdrawal was initiated on the 2nd of March, and today marks the 9th week with still no clear understanding of what is happening. The only time I receive any form of update is when I personally follow up, and even then the responses are vague — I’m simply told that “the matter will be escalated.” I am currently on my second escalation with absolutely no response, no feedback, and virtually zero communication. Considering that this involves people’s finances, the lack of urgency, transparency, and communication is truly concerning and alarming. I truly wonder what it would take for NMG to start prioritising their clients. Is it public complaints and rants before issues are finally taken seriously? It’s frustrating that so many people seem to be experiencing the exact same problems — delayed processes, poor communication, vague feedback, and constant escalations with no real resolution. When dealing with people’s finances, transparency and communication should be the bare minimum, not something clients have to beg for. Keeping in mind this affects people’s financial lives.

I regret the day my employer made me sign up with nmg, they don't communicate any process of your withdrawal, I had to fight tooth and nail to get my pension fund they always running way out of the SLA with no explanation, I have message from sars that I'm owing but they took money and they said it's for sars.now 11 days ago I app**** for my two pot savings they said money would be I my account in 10-12 days guess what, nothing is done to progress my claim, only when I called in I'm told the last payout is still in the system, IT didn't remove it so my pay out is still on stage 1 of 5 after 11 days,if I didn't call in it was not gonna be actioned.
