My partner and I experienced ongoing stress and emotional hardship during our tenancy at Hilton Place. Over time, multiple concerns arose relating to the condition of the unit, communication issues, treatment of tenants, and the handling of disputes and accusations. Despite attempts to address matters respectfully and through the appropriate channels, the situation escalated and had a serious impact on our emotional wellbeing, finances, and employment stability. We documented concerns through emails, photographs, inspection records, and formal communications. We also attempted to resolve matters constructively before considering escalation. What made the experience particularly upsetting was feeling isolated and unfairly treated after raising concerns. Tenants should be able to communicate issues without fear of hostility, assumptions, or reputational harm. We are currently pursuing the matter through the proper legal and tribunal processes and hope that future tenants are treated with greater fairness, professionalism, and respect. This review is shared as a truthful account of our personal experience. - Samantha Cronje

Very poor communication and handling of my levy account. My property is in Cape Town, yet I received a sudden final demand from Mafadi without any proper prior notice that they had taken over from Lime Property. I was not given a clear handover notice, itemised statement, supporting documents, or earlier warning before being threatened with legal action, judgment, and possible attachment. I rep**** more than once asking for clarity and documents. I also spent close to an hour trying to reach their office, only to be looped through reception and transferred to an unavailable number. Reception said Erica would call me back, but no call or email response followed. For such a serious matter, I expected proper communication and proof before aggressive legal threats. I have requested a full statement, proof of appointment, previous notices, and correct payment details. Until then, I cannot accept the amount demanded at face value.

THEE Worst property management company EVER!!! They have no care in the world for their residents. Our apartment got broken into on the 12 May. This is after the caretaker had alerted Mafadi that the gate is not working properly. 1. The building manager by the name of Innocent sends us a Whatsapp asking if we have opened a case. This person didn't bother asking how can he assist, Zero sense of empathy. He couldn't even care less whether our door was fixed or not. 2. We decided to visit their offices and guess what, no body is there. They all had apparently left because there is no water. Mr Innocent decides to return my call which I made earlier while at their offices. This guy doesn't CARE. Zero empathy all he cares about is whether there is a case number or not. When i pointed out that it's the property managers that have been negligent hence why the break in happened this man tells me about the building Financials. How does my apartment being broken into have anything to do with the building financials. These people are useless and no nothing about managing a building. Every month we have no power for atleast a day because municipal bill hasn't been paid. Useless! Useless! Useless!

Mafadi in Milpark: 5 months ago moved into a unit that had an oven without a rack and a tray and the agent that was helping me said Mafadi will provide since they know the model and the serial number of the stove. We had a back an forth for about three months of him promising me that Richard is on it and even today I don't have them. I even emailed everyone who appears on my invoice including head of maintenance because how dare you sent me invoices while you can't provide services that I pay for. I had to buy an airfryer as an alternative and I told that then that I will deduct the amount I paid for it from my rental fee since they seem uninterested in sorting my issue, and they kept quiet. When I deducted the money they sent me a demand letter for the remaining rental fee and threatened me with credit facilities and lawyers. The lack of integrity is beyond because why do you, with your suit and tie, threatened me with lawyers while you know that you haven't given me the utensils. Clearly, this is their rodeo! They advertised the unit as suitable for a young professional, yet here I am without a tray and and rack (basically a useless oven), utensils that should be making my life convenient. Ladies and gentlemen, trust each and every review about Mafadi properties. Their mandate is to make money at any cost and with lack of professionalism and no shame.

I have rented a unit, and from the start I had the worst experience ever. The agent was Ralph Henderson. I have also sent a list of concerns to the admin and NOT one concern was addressed or rep**** to, not even when I called and raised the matter. I was blatantly ignored. The lack of interest and the negligence of the agent resulted in myself losing my place to stay as well as a lot of damage to the owner and neighbors. I have lost a lot of money as a result - and is very much disappointed in the service or the lack thereof. I will not recommend this establishment nor its workers.
