Limnos Bakery Edward Street Firstly, when I called to ask if the Wiki Deals breakfast was available all day, I was told “from 8–5” instead of simply being told yes. It would also have been helpful if the staff member had mentioned on the phone that the deal needed to be printed. I then arrived at Limnos Edward Street with my family to celebrate my dad’s 79th birthday breakfast. We waited quite a while before anyone came to serve us, and when we finally tried to order the breakfast special, we were told that the deal had to be printed and that we could “go to Postnet” to print it. This was extremely disappointing and unnecessary, especially considering this information could have been communicated over the phone beforehand. From the time I called until the time I walked out which was after I was told the deal needs to be printed, nothing about my experience felt professional. The communication was poor, the service was slow, and the overall experience was frustrating — especially as this was my first visit to Limnos. Unfortunately, I will not be returning and would not recommend it either.

I visited kuilsriver Limnos bakery on Sunday 16 November to book a cake for 22 November . I was told I need ri call the Thursday and make the order. I called and made the order and even asked if they required a deposit. They then told me no. In Saturday my husband went to collect and they did not have the cake. The cake was for my daughter’s first holy communion. She told my husband that unfortunately the ganache did not arrive the Friday and they couldn’t make the cake. I didn’t receive any call to let me know I would not have a cake. They said sorry that is it. They then called the branch in Durban Road tygervalley to arrange that we must collect: The principal for me was that there was no communication. They caused us an inconvenience. We had to drive around. No remorse. I have still not received a call back or feedback on an email sent. Disgusting. You want to support local but local did not feel the need to call me to apologise.

I’ve always been fond of Limnos - from the friendly staff at Canal Walk (upstairs) to the fresh cake and coffee. However, I purchased a lemon meringue eclair from Limnos Canal Walk (downstairs) and when I cut open the eclair it was filled with mould. When I drove all the way back to Canal Walk the following day to inform the staff about the mouldy treat, they did nothing about it. They referred me to head office who have still not contacted me, even after I followed up. I am highly disappointed in the attitude of Limnos, let alone the quality of the sweet treat purchased. Clearly there is no regard for customer service.

Limnos Stellenbosch- 5 star baked cheesecake, 5 star staff. Great experience. They should have a much better shop though, not so hidden.

I was at Cavendish square with my two daughters the past Sunday to enjoy some cakes and cupcakes, my experience was very great and professional compared to the last encounter in December. The Zanele lady who was helping us was very helpful and kind to people who were not sure which cakes to choose since we wanted to taste a different cake than the one we had in Dec.

Very unprofessional; I ordered cupcakes for my daughter in advance and provided all specifications. The delivery was two hours late, and the design was not what was promised. No customer service at all! The management said, "Our drivers were late; if you want, we can refund your money!" Uhmm Hello, how about apologising for the inconvenience (my four-year-old daughter is waiting and weeping at school), and why not communicate in advance that you are running late? Instead, disregard our calls??Poor customer service. I would certainly not recommend! What a disappointment and heartbreaking experience. Somethings are not about money, but the experience. We promised our daughter a unicorn birthday and guess what we had to get cupcakes from Woolies( Thank you Woolworths for coming to the rescue) which are not unicorns of course but atleast they had the rainbow touch.

Yesterday was my son's birthday and we thought why not buy him a nice delicious cake at Limnos Bakery Kuils River, even though he was under the weather (lung infection). Long story short, after opening up the table for the family, I decided to cut a piece of cake for myself (Luckily) and when I took a bite or 2, the cake tasted very very strange. I called my wife and asked her to taste, she immediately said no does not taste right, it's off, it's sour. Then I asked my sister in law who taste buds is very sensitive to these types of things, and she confirmed. My brother in law was so upset that he wanted to drive with me because he said what if my son who is sick had to eat from that cake, thank God he did not. My wife then called and informed them about the cake. When I got to the Bakery the lady (I assume she is a supervisor) said to me these strange words, I apologise for the inconvenience, but the cake was off and I placed it below but it seems that someone placed it on top again and sold it, was not supposed to be sold. I wanted to get so furious at this lady and wanted to utter a few words but I kept my cool. Firstly, if you know that the cake was off, not to be sold, why did you put it with the other cakes that in the fridge or why did you not put a note on the cake or why did you not discard of the cake, why keep it in the same fridge at the fresh ones. I had to drive all the way from Silversands area to Kuils River, which a not nearby to hear this and experience this and then they thought macaroons can make up for it. Never!! that what if will remain in my head for quite some time.
