Legends Barbershop
Based on recent customer reviews, Legends Barbershop receives sharply divided feedback across its branches. Customers consistently praise certain locations for warm welcomes, skilled barbers who listen, and clean, professional environments where haircuts and colour services meet expectations. However, a recurring theme is frustration with long waiting times, the absence of a fair queuing system, perceived favouritism toward selected clients, and inconsistent technical skill. Several reviewers describe rushed cuts, uneven fades, and staff appearing distracted or on their phones. Concerns around how children are treated also surface repeatedly across multiple branches.

Bought my second Legends Barber brush 2 days ago and it’s already shedding while my old hasn’t even shared once. Trued to take it back and the manager said this is how they are now, how!? So we must be okay with buying products that age from day 1! You will never see me buy another one or even go to get a cut, Legends Barber will never see a cent from me EVER!

The Service is bad My kinds went to cut their hair yesterday(03/05/2026) at 13h30 and they where jumped, while the barbers were choosing their friends or people that came in after my kids, There is no register or system to write your name when you enter there, so the barbers chooses whoever they feel like choosing. My kids were the last ones to be attended to at 18h00 and only left the barbershop at 18h30. This was a very bad service and i would rate it a Minus. I told my kids that, that was the last time they are going to that barbershop. They lost a Customer.

Legends Barber Umhlanga ( Gate way mall) I have never waited so long at legends Barber, the staff keeps moving around like they don’t have work to do. Im very dissatisfied and frustrated. Me thinking Im here to have a nice time but a waste of time. Imagine travelling from another province to such. No this is Bad !!! And this thing of priorities is not great. I see no action has been made based on these reviews.

Legends barber are in support of *********s. Complained 3 weeks ago about Giovann from the cresta branch who made inappropriate secual comments to my 2 year old child. I called head office. They never go back to me. I can confirm he is comfortable and still working at legends barbershop in cresta. FYI, he said my 2 year old daughters lips are so nice he wants to kiss them. Please do not support this business.

I have been to 3 of their branches: Wonderpark and Menlyn in Pretoria, and 1 in Cape Town! Went once in Wonderpark, twice in Menlyn and once in Cape Town. Their customer service is absolutely terrible!!! You sit there for hours waiting for a haircut, yet you don’t see many people waiting. The staff are busy galavanting, talking and texting, and they just do not care about us their clients. They simply could not be bothered! When you go and enquire, you are greeted with rude responses such. The last time I was there, I walked out without getting my haircut because I just couldn’t take it anymore! I told myself I will never ever step foot in any of their shops ever again. With complaints I see gaining traction on social media now, I really hope they change their stance before they lose a lot of customers. As for me, there is no turning back. I am done!

Goodness, it took me forever to write this review but I just have to give credit where its due, it was exactly on the 2nd of January when I went to Maponya Legends hair salon with my 10 years old daughter, I wanted to cut my hair and dye with a grey color, it was obviously Jan and they informed me that they don't have stock, the manager there really came through and made a plan, I was really satisfied with the service, he really pulled his A game and delivered the way I anticipated, im definitely coming back, its a pity that I don't remember his name, but kindly request that you give that man his flowers while he's still alive.

As someone obsessed with consistency, I’m fiercely loyal to my barber. That said, I was genuinely impressed by Khanya at the Vincent branch in East London. I was back home from Johannesburg and needed a cut, so I set out to find a barber I could rely on whenever I’m in EL—and Khanya passed my personal vetting twice. Beyond the technical skill, his calm demeanour and personalised, easy conversation were the cherry on top. Most importantly, the haircut was exactly how I wanted it. I’ve been with the same barber for three years, so that’s saying a lot.
