Help with my horrible situation

The most pathetic service ever,I have bought a Loungesuite that costs thousands of rands and it is broken...firstly it came to broken and when I complained they so called serviced the loungesuite cause it was tearing and not even a year later...the framework on the 2 seater is broken.I do not have any small children and there is nobody at home...I called the store,went in personally, sent a million emails only to hear they can't help me..I don't think this fare cause I paid almost R30000 for this Loungesuite and I was supposedly suppose to have had a 10 year warranty on the framework...so.what bull**** is this...it's purely a ******* and I really need help from someone because this is daylight *******..I have a so called genuine leather Loungesuite that nobody can sit on..imagine all the lies apparently Grafton everest or some Jd supplier does not want to fix what they sold is broken...not on at all...exhaust of my time and money...I do not expect well recognized names like these to Rob from innocent people...ENOUGH

Grafton Everest sofa

I purchased a modular sofa at Hirsch in durban in November 2023. Since the very beginning the pillows became lumpy and the seats began sinking on use. The back rests felt hollow, you could feel just the wood of the frame, and the wood creaked like a cheap piece of furniture. It was taken by grafton for repairs soon after purchase. Not long after, we noticed the same things happening. The sofa was collected again recently after many complaints and has now been gone for almost a month with no date of return nor a temporary replacement. My kids are on holiday and restricted to their bedrooms with no seating in my lounge. I can’t have visitors over for the same reason. This is both a quality issue as well as a customer service issue. How is it that grafton have fallen so far in terms of quality that this sofa began declining in quality soon after purchase whereas my previous set lasted 18 years and was still strong in the frame. And to top off the decline in quality, their service is terrible, slow and unprofessional. No clear communication and updates, no concern for the fact that a customer is left without seating for weeks with no end in sight. Will not be purchasing from grafton everest again nor will I advise one to do so.

Inferior quality- Crafton everest

I bought a brand new Crafton Everest couch in May 2022, in December 2024 the couch starter to peel and my daughter tried making contact with Tedds Home store to report the matter but unfortunately their customer care help line only rings ..... I managed to get ahold of them this month as the couches started getting worse , I sent the pictures and the manufacturer came back to say that sorry,client is out of the 2 year guarantee ... my question to Crafton everest.... are your couches that are R23 000 only ment to last 2 years? I mean the couches look like they 15 years old and yet they will only be 3 years old in May... My mother's old no name brand is 20 years old and is going strong and yet a brand that supposed to be known for quality, are now producing inferior quality goods.... really disappointed, I'm glad that all my visitors get to sit on your horrible couches they can see for themselves why not to buy Crafton everest!!!!

Non existent customer service - this doesn't exist at Grafton Everest

Whilst I've found the quality of their products to be fine, the standard of their customer (non) service is absolutely appalling. When the reclining back release lever on one of our two recliners broke a couple of years ago Grafton Everest provided no support or assistance at all. I eventually found a furniture manufacturer in Jo'burg that could assist, but regretfully I've lost their contact details. Recently the reclining back release of our second recliner has broken and despite my providing the model name, a photograph of the broken part and a photograph of the actual recliner, after nearly a month they have still not been able to help me. There are many other competitive brands of furniture in South Africa, so as Grafton Everest quite obviously couldn't give a damn about their massive numbers of unresolved customer complaints, I shall make sure to avoid them in the future.

TERRIBLE PRODUCT AND AFTER SALE SERVICE

DO NOT BY THIS PRODUCT: Faulty and Poor Products and Worst After Sale Management Grafton And Everest Has the worst after sale service. I bought a day bed from them and within the period of a year or so the frame keeps breaking, this is the 4th time they need to have it repaired. I asked them to replace the unit as its clearly a fault unit and the repairs are not being done well, however they refusing to have it replaced/refunded but they just want repair it assess it and repair it. This is the worst service I've had. I've bought a cheaper Gomma Gomma couch and that one is still standing strong. I am going to take this up with an ombudsman.

Terrible quality

This company deserves a 0 star . I purchased a couch for 27k and within 6 months the couch started giving me problems . Within 2 years it has been repaired more than 5 times and exchanged twice ! It’s shocking that a brand once trusted has such ******* quality . They refuse to give you a refund and sadly the ombudsman doesn’t help much .People need to beware before buying their products .

Terrible Lounge Suite

No Help from Tafelbergfurnishers....... I would like to request an investigation into my daybed as I have called Zulfa from Tafelberg to complain about the couches frame now for the 4th or 5th time I'm not even sure as it's been fixed a couple of times. The day bed has been the following problems: -inner panel of the day bed collapsed -right hand seat collapsed -skew frame at the bottom of the day bed. - there was another issue as well but I cannot recall what it was and now it's either the 4th or 5th time there is an issue but the whole day bed frame on the left hand side is sinking and it's almost on the ground on the one side. To add to that when Grafton returned the day bed after apparent repairs the last time the repairers put the clasp on which connects the two parts in the wrong way and they left the other part dangling not *****ed in. Attached is pictures of what it looked like before and after It went for repairs as you can see there is a leg in the middle of the day bed. This was when it was still fairly new Now after all the repairs it went for it looks even worse for wear, The leg looks like it's non-existent and infact might not have even been replaced thus damaging my frame once again. This is a ridiculous service. Also the dangling clasp that was *****ed back in reverse came loose eventually. I find it shocking that for a so-called Quality product we have been experiencing all these issues mentioned, over a short period of time. We bought a Gomma Gomma couch also from Tafelberg way before we bought this couch and it is still going much stronger that this day bed. I'm requesting as I have before, that Grafton & Tafelberg either replaces the unit with a new one, or refunds me for the unit, as I feel like it has needed to be fixed one too many times with poor fixing and workmanship. Grafton & Tafelberg refuses to give us proper service yet and promise to fix it every single time yet over and over it comes back worse for wear. It is honestly pathetic service. I do not want it to be repaired again, as you guys have failed one too many times to repair it correctly. If I do not get any assistance with this I will take it up with the ombudsman!!!

Recliner lounge suite doest work

I purchased a grafton everest lounge suite through Bradlows store based in Bluff, Durban and received delivery on the 11th October 2024. 3 hours after the delivery I found that one of the recliners on the 2 seater was faulty and could not open. I immediately called the store manager and logged a complaint. She then opened a case on her system for the supplier to investigate. That cased was logged on the 14th October 2024. I was told to wait 21 days and they will get back to me. After waiting 21 days and no response from iether the store or the supplier I called and followed up only to find that nothing was done during the 21 days. I pressed the store manager to get some answers as it's been a while with no response. They then requested for a video of what was actually wrong. I took a video showing the single seater recliner working fine and then when I focused on the 2 seater it refuse to open and something seemed loose, jammed or broken. The center console on the 2 seater was also loose. At the point the entire 2 seater was not functioning as it was suppose to. All of this is clearly shown on the video. I sent the video to them. After a few days they requested pictures from the transporter who delivered the lounge suite. After a few more days they then said the recliner sometimes only opens when someone sits on it. I was confused at this point when they requested another video of someone sitting and then trying to open the recliner. I was very upset as I knew this was not how it was meant to open because the other pieces opened fine without anyone sitting on it. I reluctantly made another video showing them it still doesn't open despite someone sitting on it. This ridiculous back and forth requests continued where they kept asking me obvious questions instead of sending one of their technicians to visibly see that these don't work. It's been 3 months and still I am waiting for an outcome. I am very upset and in disbelief that their customer care doesn't exist. Everytime I needed an update I would have to call and check myself. Right now I'm at a point of stop paying for something that was sold to me broken. Grafton everest should be ashamed of how they treat and handle customers with real problems.
