15 May 2026, 16:22Hi Arshad,
We appreciate you sharing your concerns about the shift to a single annual payment for blueberry assets. The decision to consolidate payments into one annual disbur*****t was made by our farming partner to align with harvest periods which are very close together, streamline farming operations, and minimise any potential delays in payment. While this change was implemented to ensure efficiency, we understand the impact it might have on your cash flow expectations. This change was, however, communicated to all investors in 2024, prior to the implementation of the new structure. The harvest periods indicated on our collateral are projected periods as farming products, by their nature, operate on timelines that are influenced by seasonal, environmental, and market factors. As such, the harvest periods and payment frequencies communicated in our materials are always approximations, not fixed dates.Once harvests have been finalised, the harvested product is distributed, farmers are then paid and, once that has happened, payment is made to Fedgroup. Once we have received the funds from our farming partners, it is immediately paid to investors’ Wallets. Because these are real farming assets on real farms, managed by real farmers, the performance and timelines are impacted by real-world factors that are often beyond our control. While performance might fluctuate, these products are designed to be longer term products, and we are confident that the returns will average out over the full term to align with our initial projections. Due to the nature of this model where investors do not liaise directly with the farming partners, Fedgroup acts as the agent for investors to ensure that our investors receive their income and that the best interests of our investors are always taken into consideration.
It is helpful to understand how Impact Farming fits within the broader regulatory landscape. While Fedgroup offers a range of regulated, traditional investment products, Impact Farming does not fall within the regulatory jurisdiction of the FAIS Act, the FAIS Ombud, or the FSCA's Market Conduct division. The terms and conditions for this product stipulate that it is not a liquid investment and investors wishing to sell their investment may do so by finding a willing buyer.
If you have any other questions or would like to speak to one of our consultants, please let us know and we'll happily get in touch.
Best regards,
