Getting an accidenta damaged vehicle but still want payments
Paid R29 000+ deposit on a vehicle. Vehicle was delivered to Durban after 3 weeks. At first all was fine but after month 2, the roof and bonnet starting to Crack because of body filler. It started peeling by the windscreen. The vehicle was involved in an accident but I was never told. They did send it to DEKRA before I received it but when I took it to DEKRA, the reports are not the same.
They then said they can book it in at a panebeater but I will then be left without a vehicle. I told them that I am not paying for a damaged vehicle.
They keep pushing for payment even though the vehicle is falling apart. They offered me a polo or i10 which I did not accept as the vehicle I had was a family car and not small. It was also an automatic.
They had their private investigator fetch the vehicle from me.
I asked for a refund on my deposit, but they just ignore that part.
Be careful when taking a vehicle from them. I have all email communications and pictures to proof of damage and how they only push for payment on a damaged vehicle.
They are now also threatening with legal action against me if I proceed with telling the truth.

Before delivery, the vehicle was inspected by DEKRA, an independent third-party inspection provider. At handover, you were also given the opportunity to inspect the vehicle and signed documentation confirming that you had accepted the vehicle condition at that stage.
We understand that you were unhappy with the vehicle after concerns were raised. However, rental payments remain part of the agreement, and any outcome needs to be considered in line with the signed agreement, the inspection records, the payment history, and the vehicle’s condition after return.
We have tried to deal with this matter fairly and professionally, and we remain willing to engage through the correct channels to bring the matter to a proper conclusion.

06 May 2026, 15:13When I noticed all the cracks on the roof and the Crack on the bonnet because of all the body filler I immediately contacted your office and said IWILL NOT PAY FOR A DAMAGED VEHICLE. You ghen said that I must take it back to DEKRA in Durban and their report was completely different to your first DEKRA report.
You offered me a much smaller vehicle for the same amount of R8500pm. I said I am not interested in a small vehicle.
You guys had your Private Investigator make contact to collect the vehicle and then said I am responsible for all cost and still pushed me for payment on the vehicle.
If you guys just gave me another vehicle in the same class that I had all would have been fine but now you wanted to have it repaired that could take up to weeks and said you will not give me a courtesy vehicle in that time but I must still pay for something I did not cause.
You have my email address, if you are will to sort this matter, I will gladly post on this platform that ypu have sorted it but till then I WILL NOT REMOVE ANY POSTS I HAVE MADE.

So just to understand, if I accepted your small car then the payment issue would have dissappear but because im standing my grounds, you are now having a problem because I refused to pay for a damaged vehicle.
I am not a panelbeater and did not see that the vehicle went for major body work. I only noticed it when it started cracking.
My aim to to make others aware to rather look at other options before spending alot of money with you guys and might sit without a vehicle and money because of something that was not caused by them.
But again, you dont want to replace the vehicle with a similar vehicle. You also dont want to refund. You keep pushing for payments.
