I took my Ecu in for testing. They gave me a report of multiple faults. They quoted me a major price (I am a pensioner) - over 6k to repair. I paid 50% deposit. 5 days later they phoned me and told me the Ecu was repaired. I went to fetch it and asked for a report after fixing - should be tested and a report issued. They told me it's fixed and there's no report. The technician repairing my car fitted the Ecu and it did not work. He did a diagnostics and found the Ecu had the same faults that it had before repairing. I suspect that the repair technicians are not properly trained to repair ECU's. I am really disappointed that a company like Ecu Express can do such bad work. This is a very bad reflection on the company and it damages the reputability of the said company. I am returning the Ecu and want an immediate repair and a report after the repair. I am not waiting 7 days as they advertise. Very unhappy pensioner.

5 weeks ago, I drove my vehicle to work and when it was time to leave it didn't want to start. No smoke, no funny noises, no warning lights-it cranked but didn't start at all. Got some mechanics out to come have a look, they said its the ECU. To me it didn't make sense + I don't know the mechanics so I thought I'd get a second opinion. Took it to the Germiston branch, first I asked regarding a replacement unit but booked it in anyway to see what the results were. Got the report, it said 'Replace ECU'. Nothing else, no repair option - just replace. I collected it that same afternoon, purchased a new ECU, had the software loaded. Plugged it in and...same fault code??? Then we replaced the injectors, it then started but wasn't 100%. Long story short, the issue was 2 wires that was corroded, we then plugged in the original ECU and there you go!!! So, I emailed these guys from ECU express, asking if they could explain to me how they came about the results. For every 3 emails you send you might get 1 reply and even though my question was clear - they haven't given me an answer as yet... Its really ****ty coming from a company you trust and rely on as I only purchased another ECU based on their results. Now, I'm stuck with it and they don't give a ****. I'd like someone to contact me and explain how did this happen??? Let's see if they do -

I contacted Ron about my EDU he was very quick to say they have stock and it would be R6000 , I went to the branch and I took my old EDU with with testing to make sure that , this was the issue with my car , I was called 2 hours later and told the EDU was faulty beyond economic repair , so I would need the replacement unit. So I paid the money and took the unit to the mechanic, with in 20 min of me leaving the mechanic called me and said the unit is faulty could I please bring my old unit back , I took it to him within 30 min he called and said my car is running it was a small problem with the EDU that has now been repaired , I contacted ECU express and informed them that the unit was faulty and I was brining it back , I was told that they would have to test the unit and this would take 1 day (mine was tested in 2 hours ) and once testing was done they would give me feed back the next day , 3 days past so I called them and was told the technician will call me with in the hour to explain it's now been a further week and no call from the technician or Ron who now doesn't answer messages or calls and still no refund. I would not recommend this company to anyone and further more I will be taking the case to the motor Aumbustman as well

I took my ecu to them for repairs on 2nd of oct.paid the 50% and was told the ecu would be ready in 7 to 10 working days.it was only ready 13 working days later.when we reinstalled it in the vehicle,we sent them video evidence that the ecu was still faulty, although the vehicle would start.they told us to return the ecu and they then had it for another week.we once more collected the ecu and this time the vehicle would not even start.they then said we must bring the vehicle to them (at our towing cost) and they would check it.this was done on the 4th of November.they said it needed to be booked in at the Bosch center.we then got a quote for an additional R5k for electrical fault finding on the vehicle.after a lot of arguing it turned out that ecu express had not even bothered to recheck the ecu.on our insistence they rechecked and flashed the ecu on the 12th of nov and the vehicle ran.dealing with this company will cost you both time and money.they are extremely ********* and do not take responsibility for their mistakes.in total it took 6weeks to rectify the ecu.deal with them at your peril

ZERO SERVICE, I MEAN ZERO SERVICE from ecu express kyasands , took my ecu to them and waited almost a month only to get it back and almost R7000 later and it's not right , took it back a week ago and still no further, phone calls go unanswered with a promise to get the technition to call you back but not a word , the technition is never available to take a call ( not at his desk or just not available) according to reception. I phoned 3 times yesterday with no joy , again today I have called, same story, the technition will come back to me but nothing, no feedback, no progress, no communication. I have tried being nice and understanding until now but I have had enough, my customer is screaming at me and I have no answers. Don't send them any work , you will be very sorry
