I had a mixed experience with Herman from Eazi Real Estate. Initially, he was helpful and responsive throughout the viewing and offer process. However, the experience changed drastically once the sale was finalised.
Several issues came to light within days of handover: 1. We identified lifting floors within 12 days of moving in. Although the agent verbally acknowledged the issue at the time, he later denied the interaction when I raised it formally. 2. The brand-new built-in oven was missing all internal racks and the seller refused to replace or pay for part of the R640 cost. 3. Only a single key and remote was provided for all doors including Trellidoors and electric entrance gate, leaving us with a R2000 security cost.
When we attempted to resolve these reasonably, the agent shifted entirely to protecting the seller’s interests, ignoring previous verbal assurances.
Advice to future buyers: Do not rely on verbal agreements or the perceived "helpfulness" of the agent. Document every single observation—no matter how small—via email or WhatsApp immediately. Ensure you open every appliance and check every key before signing off, as the support ends the moment the commission is secured.
