I have just been informed by the CoCT power division that my call of last Friday was closed because they couldn't find the address. Today is Wednesday. Why did they not inform me of this problem so that the address can be corrected?? They had my correct phone number. This is poor policies and procedures or non-adherence to same. Peter.

As a tax payer why should I be responsible for someone else mistake as ti an under estimated account of the City of Cape Town. My Tenant sent an complaint to me as there is a possibility of an underground leak. As a landlord would do the necessary checks such as leaks etc the plumber has informed there is a underground/wall leak i had authorized him to repair the leak as my monthly account was shooting up as to a high account of water/electricity. I got thr necessary forms road report an underground leak and will need time to sort out the account . I have spent a half day at the Plumstead Branch to discover that is was not a underground leak it was due to an under estimated reading that was done by the council department, thatdoes the reading of the meters. When i requested payment arrangements i was told that an upfront payment had to be done and forms to completed. As a tax payer I refuses to pay this mistake. After all its not my mistake. As I would like this to be sorted out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Thank you

We have been without electricity for 5 days now. We have a baby and an elderly woman with us. Our requests keep getting closed without any resolution. There’s no feedback even on the disputes. Yet we pay for these services as citizens. The contractors and city are so *********** and have no care about the citizens

We have been without water for 5 days now, we called numerous times and this issue hasn't been resolved, clearly there's not urgency with them sorting this problem out, multiple calls made by us and we have been given reference numbers after reference numbers.....Still nothing going on Day 6!!!!

Cape Town enjoys dawn promenade walks, Table Mountain braais, Bo Kaap strolls, and waterfront markets; The refuse team collects every week without fail. Bins emptied on schedule. Streets neat and tidy. The safe refuse collections ensure the busy urban rhythm refreshed weekly.
