**** ALERT: Rand Easter Show & Chip Dip Vendor **** Date: 2nd April Location: Rand Easter Show, Nasrec Johannesburg I'm writing this review as a warning to others. I visited the Rand Easter Show with 4 friends and bought 5 chip dips (R45 each). The vendor swiped my card for R220, said the machine was faulty, and swiped it again R240 using the speed point she took from the Sausage stall near by . I only found out both transactions went through when I got home because my phone was off during that period, because my battery had died. The Rand Show directed me to Titus Mothusi Tola(Chip Dip container) who passed me to Hennie Schoeman who's apparently he's manager. Henny claims only one transaction went through and the other was "held in limbo", despite proof showing the first transaction went through. He's doubting me and asking for my April bank statement (which I can't access yet). I've sent screenshots and proof, but it feels like they're trying to **** me. I'm supposed to get R235 refund for the month they ****med me. MORAL: BE CAREFUL AT THE RAND EASTER SHOW! Don't let vendors swipe your card twice if they claim the machine is faulty. Vendor: Chip Dip at Rand Easter Show Rating: 1/5 ⭐️"

On my recent visit to Chip n Dip at Gold Reef City, I was disappointed by poor service and an order error. Despite clearly requesting only mayonnaise with my chip and mozzarella stick combo, the staff, who were initially inattentive and engrossed in conversation, app**** tomato sauce, which I dislike. After I pointed out the mistake, the employee dismissively added mayonnaise and a few fresh chips without properly fixing the issue. The tomato sauce remained, making my R85 meal nearly inedible. When I politely requested a resolution, the employee shrugged, offered no apology, and told me to “be grateful” for the food. This unprofessional response and failure to address the error left me feeling undervalued. I hope management addresses staff training and customer service, as this experience has deterred me from returning.
