Terrible customer service
The light in complexion lady who was called to refund my money back into my gift card, I'm not sure if she's a manager but she has horrible customer service. I decided to just leave what I was doing because I told myself that I will find another Checkers to go to, I don't see myself going back to that store. She has a bad attitude and treats people like she's doing them a favour. We all walk into that shop to use our money, she's doing no one a favour and if she doesn't want the job she can leave it for people who will be glad to do it. She acts like she has shares at that store without realising that she's messing up other people's businesses

Terrible customer service

Stale cake
Irecently bought a cake from Checkers Mall of Afica on the 22/03/2026 and unfortunately it was very disappointing. The cake was dry and tasted stale, as if it had been sitting for a long time. The icing also had an unusual taste and the overall quality was not what I expected from Checkers. I hope the store can improve their freshness and quality control because customers expect better.”

Stale cake
Irecently bought a cake from Checkers Mall of Afica on the 22/03/2026 and unfortunately it was very disappointing. The cake was dry and tasted stale, as if it had been sitting for a long time. The icing also had an unusual taste and the overall quality was not what I expected from Checkers. I hope the store can improve their freshness and quality control because customers expect better.”

would like to take a moment to commend Ayanda, a cashier at Checkers Hyper, Mall of Africa, for the exceptional service she gave me on 5 October 2025. Even though she was simply doing her job, the way she carried it out stood out to me. Her warm attitude, professionalism, and attentiveness made me feel like I was the only customer in the store. It has been a long time since I received such excellent service from a cashier, and Ayanda truly made my shopping experience memorable. Bad service
I bought a cheese in checker around 18:45 to 19:00 so when get home I found the cheese was bitten by rats the the following I returned it the manager was not attentive to she was busy on her phone the supervisor told me to hold because they were discussing their personal things until I raised my voice

Bad service

Checkers mall of Africa is *****ing
Be very careful of checkers they are double charging customers and trying to blame the banks , I have reported them to the ombudsman and I am going to open a case of theft at the police station because they are obviously *****ing from hundreds of customers

ROTTEN CAKE
On the 23rd of May I decided to buy a birthday cake for myself at Checkers Mall of Africa and I was utterly disappointed. As soon as I opened the cake I realized it smells rotten, I tried cutting the cake and it was stiff. WHY ARE WE BUYING ROTTEN STUFF? I couldn't stomach that cake, it ended up in the bin. How unprofessional and selfish of checkers to keep rotten baked goods on selves for people to buy.

Checkers Mr.Pasta noodles
Mr. Pasta Noodles, If there was a minus rating, this would definetely be a -3. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement, I just got myself Checkers Mr.Pasta chicken noodles. Tasteless, no flavor, just a waste of money and my time. worst product I have ever wasted my money on.

Bought "cheese' patties there today...no cheese in there. So much fat it schrunk half size. No packing film in between. Just like the boerewors we bought last month also so much fat and no skin on it. Their butchery is going for a dive! pensioners are only trying to buy good meat not ****!
