This debt collection company is threatening me with legal action for a Vodacom account for 7500 Rands. I am a victim of identity theft as I never took out a contract with Vodacom at all. When I wrote a letter disputing this and requesting documents from Vodocam, Barnard Raaff state that only until I have sent a copy of my identity document with three specimen signatures can the matter be resolved. The letter is my dispute and the Onus lays on VODACOM to show records of this contract that I allegedly took out. Why would someone being a victim of identity theft want to send specimen signatures when they had failed to sen the original contract. Vodacom you are a massive corporation and this is unacceptable. I have requested this Burnard Raaff to send me a copy of their mandate to act on behalf of Vodacom, but they are stating no action taken until my identity document and signatures are sent. Is this not another form of ******ion.

This company is threatening with unfounded allegations that i owe them money of which i don't know. as far as i am concern i requested a detailed statement showing how much i have paid VS how much i am left with regarding Vodacom account. they said they emailed statement of which i haven't received. according to my records i have paid the owed Vodacom amount has been paid off, now what am i paying for? i also remember this white lady telling me verbally i owe interest??? which amounts to half of the amount i owed vodacom.

I called the Greenwood Park police and Captain Vandayar told me to ignore as they are ****mers. On looking them up on the net I found many negative reviews including them blacklisting innocent people stating they are in arrears with payments to a company that they have no dealings with. Due to identity theft these ****mers victimize people including pensioners like myself. Please put my experience out as a warning to others to beware of this bogus company. Many victims have complained their phone calls are never answered nor are email's acknowledged.

They are phishing ****mers. Initially it was a company called HP attorneys. Then a month later it was BR & Ass harassing me. They mentioned that I am owing when I DON'T and have NEVER had a Vodacom account. Even if I did, why would Vodacom specifically hand over to them? Why are they not able to provide the "supposed statements, invoices, or contract signed"? Why do their email addresses change all the time? I suggest a Carte Blanche investigation to take place.

This company is really so patient and understanding, they assist you to the best of their knowledge and the best assistance is given when requesting statements, balance, payment details from receptionist to the collector they are such friendly/ helpful people

I have an account with Vodacom that was handed over to this company for collection, even though I made every attempt to make payment arrangements with Vodacom to get my account on track. Every month I just make direct payment to Vodacom and not to BRAA, I check my credit report on Experian every month without fail to check my balance on my Vodacom account and that is the amount i am going to pay. After speaking to lady by the name Alicia from BRAA and her advising me of my account balance owed which is R3000 plus more than that on my credit report, mind you she is not sending me formal statement to see payments made and balance to go, as they receive my POP from Vodacom. She keeps telling me about Balance of contract added fees by Vodacom and legal fees that don't show on my credit report, but she is not aware that I have already received a final statement from Vodacom and the BOC is all inclusive in that statement. I have sent her that statement from Vodacom with my credit report balance to go and advised them that I will contact my legal advisor at scorpion legal if I don't get me a proper statement with payments and balance to go. these debt collection companies are trying to milk us. I will not play that game with them because I don't have money to waste. Vodacom subscriber collections is a waste of time because they don't response to emails and that how my account got handed over, which I would also like to take that matter further as I have all the emails, I sent asking them to start a debt order again to which I got no response.
