The double room was nice, nr 6, but the bathroom with the glass door not acceptable for privacy. Some of the plugs did not work and the aircon did not work. Jacuzzi was dirty and cold water. The 2 room house was used by the staff for cooking their food and to stay there during the day. I originally booked 2 x double private rooms and the 2 bedroom house for 2 nights and 1 double private room for one night, as we were a group and certain people did not want to stay with certain people. When we got there, we only had one private double room. The manager said the 2nd bedroom in the 2 bedroom house was the other double private room. It was not, as I had to put people in that room with the couple, otherwise we did not have enough beds for everyone. He new we had 8 adults, 2 adults, 2 adults, 2 adults and 3 children. I ended up paying that couples money back due to that they did not have their own double private room and had to share. The manager did not listen when I tried to explain. The establishment is very far from everything. And the road is bad. There were other guests (ladies) staying in a double room connected to our house and the swimming pool and jacuzzi, after the manager told us, it is our private facilities for the weekend. Those guests were getting naked infront of my people, and there were boys and men in our group. Those guests went in and out our house at leisure. The doors of our house were locked in the evening as well as the gate. We did not get the keys for those doors and the gate and we had a pregnant lady with us. We had to walk around the house to get to the other side. And still could not get out the property. The second night, he gave the other couple a whole house that only booked a private double room. It was acceptable, as they were with us. After I told him, we are on our way back to the guest house please leave the new room open, when we got there, the room were locked. I could not get him on his phone and my guests were tired and had to wait outside for nearly an hour. We loved Poppie, she tried to make everything as comfortable as possible. The other guests in the joining room, were so loud and we had knocks on our doors until early in the morning hours. We could not sleep. I did talk to the manager about their behavior and he phoned me back and said they apologise, but they only continue to do as they like and he did nothing about it any There were not enough warm water for everyone to bath/shower. The water pressure were poor. The drain were blocked at the swimming pool and it smelled the whole weekend. The one light in the second bedroom in the house, could not be put of, so the poor people needed to sleep with a light in their eyes every night. People came and go as pleased in our house. There were not enough light at the braai area. The jacuzzi in the second bedroom on top were not clean and had cold water. There were plugs in all the rooms that did not work. Saturday morning, when we got ready to leave for the day, I saw the golf cart of the manager were parked nearly on top of my jeep. He left for the restaurant. When we packed the jeep for the day, one of my people called me and showed me my bumper has a hole in it and was scratched. I do not have any evidence how this could have happened and I do not accuse anyone, it is just maybe due to the inadequite parking facilities. I do not even know what to do or say. I will never recommend this establishment to anyone. We did enjoy the potato salad and garlic bread for the braai, but after all, we paid for it. The manager were friendly, but I think too smooth and talked all the problems away. All of my people were highly dissastified. I am ashamed of booking this establishment for my people, as I always book awesome accommodation. But this did not deliver what was promised. The photos and videos he send me is not at all the same as the real thing.

The service wasn't good. We were a group of 21 ladies and there weren't enough beds where some had to use sleeper couches which wasnt communicated to us by the manager prior to us checking in. The place doesnt have backup for loadshedding so you sit in the dark no generator or candles, We had to ask gas cylinder to cook on Saturday as non was provided.Hertage day meal was a disaster where some of the ladies have requested a refund as non of meals promised weren't served. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone

This was the most awfull experience i had in my life. The pictures they have on web,and what you get is not nearly the same. The bedding is full of stains and pillows i guess have never ever been washed. if you shower the water goes into you bedroom. Felt so unsave there. Will never sit foot there again.

The manager/owner promised to refund our Spa day treatments immediately, 5 days after he said that it was paid back, I still didn’t have the money. (R850). By the next Monday, I placed a review on bookings.com. The owner then instructed my partner that he will not pay us back until we take the review off. (After he told me he payed me the week before) This is unacceptable. If you want a good review you should perform accordingly. This man has only lied to us and now trying to bully us into taking down an honest review. We were very disappointed with the accommodation and false promises made, we even found left over KFC from previous clients in the microwave with massive ****aroaches. The room had no glasses and when asked, were told to make do with what was there. Even arranging a plug to switch the TV on for our little one was an issue. There are several reviews about this place with similar issues. PLEASE SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ABOUT THIS. IT IS THE PRINCIPAL, MORE SO THEN THE MONEY. We do have all correspondence as proof that these are not I quote "LIES".

I had a booking for my daughter and myself in Sunday, 27 Sept. Upon our arrival, there were no guests and we were the only ones. The girl showed US the room and I've informed her that I've booked the room with the pool and jacuzzi view. I went outside to view the pool, which was green and the jacuzzi, which was empty and full of bird miniur. I was then asked to go to the office up the street to meet with Jon Pierre. When he eventually arrived, my daughter was chased off stairs leading to a top balcony or deck, as, according to him, were under construction. No signs whatsoever of any construction on premises! We went inside and I started asking questions about the pool and jacuzzi. JP very rudely said that it is not currently available due to Covid. I've asked him why he didn't mentioned that earlier when he spoke to me to confirm my booking and time of arrival. I started to ask about the spa, as this was the purpose of my booking, to surprise my daughter with a nice spa treatment. He then flew up behind his desk and chased US away like dogs!! He said that he hasn't got time for this as he had a hectic week. On his way out, he kept on staying we must leave and return to Springs. We were shocked and my daughter and myself started laughing, thinking JP was only joking.. He left is on the premises and ons his way to the gate, again shouted twice: "Go back to Springs.. Go!" I was furious about his behaviour in front of my daughter and the way we were treated. He had someone waiting in a blue Smart car outside the gate, JP was the passenger, and as they took off, both threw a middle finger at us!! Where is this man coming from? Is he going to refund my petrol, 138KM x 2?? Will he apologise to my daughter?! Absolutely disgusting behaviour and treatment!!

I did a transaction with Jon Pierre in June, paid upfront for the goods and waited. I received the first half of the order but the second half never happened. Jon Pierre agreed to refund the second half of the transaction on 21 July 2020. I have had to ask him for the refund 5 times since then and tonight I called him and he made another one of his false promised that he would look into it tomorrow and put the phone down in my ear. People shouldn't trust Jon Pierre as he is not a man of his word.

My friends and I had booked at “Die Bostokelos” guest house in the Vaal. At around 3am, the owner kicked my friends and I out for noise. The owner called us the “K.....” word and demanded we get off his property. The police arrived and informed us that he has a tendency of kicking guests like “us” out. The next morning, it comes to our attention that my bag had been left behind. We went back to the BnB and asked for my bag from the owner, he said it’s not there. A while later, the helper miraculously finds the bag, but with none of my belongings in it. Later they returned some of my belongings in a dustbin bag with half of my belongings missing. The owner and an employee of his became highly aggressive when I asked for the rest of my belongings. The worker pulled me by my hair and i was then assaulted. The owner, his assumed partner and the helper hit me on the head and I was then stabbed multiple times on the head and on the neck with a broken bottle. I was rushed to the nearest hospital to receive urgent medical attention. I couldn't believe racist people like this still exist in SA, they need to be taught that they are no longer entitled to this behaviour and that they will be punished. Stay far away from this dangerous place.

We had reservations at Die Bostokoles for the weekend of 21/09/2019 with my family only to find the house in an appalling state linen was very dirty and we raised our concerns and asked for a refund he refused. We told Jon Pierre to get his staff to clean the place cause it was dusty and filthy whilst there were still busy then his partner appeared he was so drunk then he started to use vulgar language and he even called us the K***** word in front of kids. He then took a sharp object and bricks and approached my brother and hit him with the sharp object he then fell on the floor. A fight occured amongst them and us. Then Jon Pierre then said he will refund us because he can't control his man when he is like this. His partner assaulted us in front of kids instead of resolving the matter. He finally gave us a refund at midnight, we had no where to go with small kids and had to go back home. 1
