Big Joe's Pies becomes Little Joe's Pies?
I have always spoken highly of pies madr in this establishment. Slowly disappointments started setting in like certain pies that were launched abd understandably taken off the menu because of supply and demand. Imagine my disappointment when I went a bought a sausage roll that had almost no filling. This is not the standard that I have been accustomed to. Sad that they now follow suit to all the other franchises out there but whats even more sad is how quickly their doors will close because of this. The filling was as thick as my pinky and the rest dough. Last that I checked I can purchase dough at a quarter of the price for way more at Checkers or PnP. This is so not like you Big Joe's. Maybe a name change is required?

So the boss sold the company and new people took over so they offered new contracts in the contract it says that we have to go for a poligraph test and if you don't go you cant work for the compony anymore

Best pies
Big joe real pies, Kuilsriver. They don't always have the most friendliest staff but there pie's is the best of the best. I can't go to Kuilsriver without getting me a big joe pie. The best is the pepper steak pie.

New flavor? Gelatine and wood?
Went to big Joe's for some pies for supper as we have done on many occasions. To say it was a sad night would be a understatement. Worst pies I have had in my entire life and I had some questionable pies from some garages after a night out. Not what one would expect from a reputable company as big Joe's. Not sure what is going on at Big Joe's Northgate but I leaves much to be desired, they have surely lost my patronage. To make the experience even worse I nearly poked a whole in my palate while eating a pie as I found a piece of wood/stick in my already bland gelatine filled pie. Perhaps a new flavour? Gelatine and wood, if so please remove it from the menu as it's not very appetizing also not what I have ordered. Very disappointed.

Best Pies in Town
This place is sure to be a goldmine. Great tasting fresh handmade pies at a very affordable price. I bought two of their combo options which include a pie and a drink, at the East Rand Mall store. You can see the staff busy making the pies by hand through the window. Great setup. Will definitely recommend for a quick lunch on the go, and will support them again.

Bad food
I bought some pies at whale coast mall today and it was terrible. I was so disapointed with the quiality and to pay R15.50 for 1 pie is a rip off. There was no meat inside just a little bit of sauce. Im very upset for wasting money like this
