Afrox - Poor service
My husband is on the Oxygen Concentrator due to the pulmonary embolism he had after COVID. He sustained lung fibrosis and are oxygen dependant. Last night during the night, the alarm of his machine went off and he could not use the machine the rest of the night. This morning at 08:00 he reported the machine and previously the machine was replaced the same day. Not today, the reason being that they don't have vehicles and that they will replace the machine tomorrow. My husband cannot sleep without the matching as he gets severe headaches and shortness of breath. Afrox's advise is that if it gets to the point that he can't breath I should take him to the emergency room at our own cost. The cheak.

Afrox - Poor service

AFROX keep passing the back buck instead of helping !
On and around 10th November 2025 I went to Afrox Germiston to get some Nitrogen. I was then advised I had to open a cod account in order to purchase it. The lady Kefentse who helped me and filled in the form at NO time infromed me that there was any additional amount to pay other than the amount I had already paid if I returned it within a week which I did. A month later I received an invoice for R558 for 'rental' for which I had no idea of. I then retuned to the branch and they then informed me that it was no problem and that I should contact customer care (they even gave me the number) for them to resolve. I then made contact with a Pello Marelle who said she will follow up and get a credit passed. Two months later and after nagging her she said only the Branch manager can do this. I then retuned to the branch only to be advised that I must pay it and they wont do anything about it. This is appaling servce. I have been using Afrox Germiston for many years buying LPG and this is how you get treated !

Afrox is too good for plebs.
Its been 10 years now that I've gone to Afrix for gas bottle exchange. Today I found out after driving to the premises that they don't take cash anymore. I had to hoot at the gate as security was away from his post just to be told my money isn't good there. Good luck for the future, it looks like you're going to need it when your digital ******* turns to nothing.

No SERVICE
Account---#0001384464 So you need to apply to get approval from this company to buy shielding gas. Did all the paperwork sent to their designated address on the 27th of November, and till today not one response. NOT GOOD.

I cancelled my bottle of argon on 4 July to collect the bottle It took 3 days for Eugene respond .This is at Pongola branch ( Eugene) The bottle was collected I0 October . I communicated with head office ,sent them all the watsups that confirm cancelation and they still billed me up till September and including admin fees of R100 Disgrace Afrox and *********** Eugene! I paid the account that include 2 months ******* rental. All I want is Head office must look into this.

Afrox selling half empty gas bottles at full price!!!!
I bought a gas bottle July 28th for R360. In less than 2 weeks it was empty. Keep in mind that I only used the stove top. A bottle normally keeps me a month and a half. Afrox is refusing to replace my bottle or refund me at least half of what I paid for it. Their excuse- I should have felt that the bottle wasn't as heavy as it normally is, due to a possible gas leak. How must I know the weight????
