Absolute Pets online Absolute pets Cresta
To get started I searched the web for an alternative to feline cuisine as it has become rare to find.
I found 2 good brands, namely ultra cat and Lokuno.
I saw that absolute Pets has both these brands available online and at a very good budget price. Online it shows approx R270 per 2kg bag of cat food for adults cats.
After paying online and putting in my delivery address (delivery is R35 to my area, approx 5km from the store). I noticed that they gave me a discounted price on the products which was super.
The head office in cape town called me to tell me that they don't have the ultra cat in stock and she said I can choose something else. I opted to choose 2 x lokuno 2kg bags as the refund process according to the online rules says up to 14days for refunds.
I waited eagerly for my delivery. I received communication showing that the order is packed according to the app. And they sent me an sms with the name of the driver doing the delivery. After waiting and waiting there was no delivery. The status on the app showed your parcel has been returned. I emailed them and tried calling. They took some time to respond although they finally res2the following day saying that the driver canceled the delivery and they did not give a reason for the cancelation.
I then got worried as I needed the food urgently.
I went online to check the reviews and almost all were very bad when it came to deliveries. So I called them again and I told them I will rather collect the items as the delivery is not working out.
They were helpful when I wanted to collect and they said they will refund my delivery cost which is yet to be received.
I went to the Cresta store in Johannesburg to collect the order and it was smooth and no issues. I also bought some treats which were super cheap.
The lady in store apologized for the inconvenience and said it won't happen again. I told her that I won't book delivery in future.
My conclusion is that the delivery system doesn't work with them. So I'm my opinion don't book delivery rather select the collect in store option. But phone the store first to ensure they have stock of what you want to order.
So a 3.5 or 4 rating out of 5 would be fair.
