I wish I could give World Leisure Holidays zero stars. We booked an extremely expensive holiday to Mauritius in August 2024. Although we had been to Mauritius 4 times before, we decided to try a new resort, terrible mistake. It was 5 star but not the same experience as we had during our previous holidays. We arrived at our resort and had been given 1 bedroom with 2 double beds and a bathroom with NO doors for 2 adults and 2 teenage daughters. I think WLH could have advised us that the room we booked was not adequate for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. When we complained to WLH, they shrugged their shoulders and did nothing. They had their money, so why bother to do anything. Worst holiday of our lives. We will NEVER use WLH again and it will be a long time before we return to Mauritius sadly.

Honeymoon booked 26th June 2023 for 18 September – 24 September 2023 . Had to cancel 2 months prior (14 July 2023) to departing due to unforeseen circumstances. Only terms stated on Flights Centre Invoice was: “If cancelled on or after 18 Jul 2023, a cancellation charge of ZAR 38,449.00 will apply”. I cancelled 14 July 2023and now they come with penalties and no refunds. Its cancelled 2 months in advance so it needs to be refunded. Now I will have to take legal action either with Flights Centre and/or World Leisure Holidays. Let me not leave out Air Mauritius who also wont refund me a cent for cancelling more than 2 months in advance. Somebody needs to do something to protect the customers.

In Feb 2020 I bought and paid for accommodation and flight tickets to Mauritius. This was before lock down was on the cards. Yes there was a lot of border closings which i do get. In Januaray 2022 I went to them to get a refund on the Air flight tickets I paid for in Feb. 2020. We tried to change destinations and they "could" only transfer the hotel, not the flight tickets. I was told that due to this, I will have to take a 25% cut on the money. When we spoke to Air Mauritius, they told us the money is still with World Leisure Holidays and that they have not been paid yet. Flight Centre made as if they paid them for our air tickets, and that is why I have to take a 25% cut on money paid . (R21000) I changed the destination to Zanzibar now as I still would like to go on holiday. Should I decide to cancel that, I have to pay again a 25% fee from what I paid..(R20962) Is this normal procedure if payments were made before lock down. It also worries me that air Mauritius referred us back to World Leisure and Flight Centre as they had nothing. To many questions and no real answers..
