Waterwoods is NOT recommended to anyone seeking a quiet relaxed stay in the Midlands. We arrived to blaring music. When we booked our accommodation mid October and in the time leading up to our stay, Waterwoods failed to inform us that there would be a wedding at the venue. We had to endure several hours of this odious noise. Had we known about it in advance we would probably have booked alternative accommodation. In addition to this on our third night there at about 21:30 the occupants of the cottage next to us started a party for ca. 8 of their friends. Upon inquiry with management regarding the rules, we were informed that parties are not allowed that these guests are not residing at Waterwoods and that security will be sent to the unit. Three hours later the party escalated to raucous music and shouting. A repeated call to management gave us a different story, saying they are all guests and that Waterwoods can't do anything about it. Security was called in again and the party eventually moved to a different location on the premises. Surely there should be some form of rules against such incidences of total disregard for other paying guests. Other minor frustrations of our stay also included the utter lack of service to our unit. The dustbin could at least have been emptied. The fire place had also not been cleaned from the previous visitors, with half burned food s****s still in it. One pays a fortune to stay in these cottages, expecting a relaxed stay in the Midlands meander but unfortunately incidences like these make it highly unpleasent. I would NOT recommend a stay at Waterwoods to anyone.
