Purchased a 2020 VW Polo GTI through a sales person by the name of Tumi Sibiya in September 2023, upon delivery of the vehicle there was number of issues I spotted on it and raised them with the dealership which they then said they performed an 80 point inspection and I was the one to blame for those issues. I then raised the matter with VW South Africa and they managed to have the dealer to account for the issues. Upon second delivery for the vehicle, I then made an appointment for service at VW Kimberley and unfortunately they found leakage in the vehicle's Gearbox which may have resulted from an accident. I immediately raised the matter VW South Africa and fortunately enough they managed to have the dealership accountable again. About a month or two, I made an appointment for a wheel alignment and the technicians advised that I should have the axle inspected as the alignment results show negative results. I then booked in the vehicle at VW kimberley in January 2024 and they confirmed that the axle has bend which may have resulted from an accident. I raised the matter with Renier Coetzee (Mastercar Sales Manager) and he rep**** by saying that they will not be held accountable for the bend axle and any future issues that I will experience. I then went back to VW South Africa and unfortunately they could not help. I further escalated the matter to Ombudsman and I am currently waiting for the verdict. 22 June 2024, the axle gave in and right now paying for a vehicle that's parked in a garage.

This car dealership is terrible. Try your best to not conduct business here. The only way I get assistance and support is when I go on hellopeter or google and give these guys a terrible review. And then they call me to remove the review. The latest incident has been the wiper blades of the Polo (2022) I bought. The wipers that came with the car (demo car with only 1000km on it) do not work properly as they leave streaks and marks. I alerted them about this late October 2022. It is now 10 February 2023 and they refuse to issue me with new wiper blades. I visited VW Centurion Autohaus in December 2022 to see if they could help with this issue. They fitted new wiper blades that seemed to fix the problem. However, they couldn’t do exchange because I hadn’t officially booked for a car inspection and I would have to pay for the wiper blades. Paying for new wiper blades at this early stage, for a car this new seems extremely unfair to me. I have been given the run-around by the lady over at VW Princes Benoni Marie Truter, for 4 months and I’ve had enough.

A VW T-cross was advertised on the Website at Princes VW Gauteng for R345900. I started an enquiry into the car, and Rozane confirmed the car was still available. Approximately an hour after initiating contact with the branch, the price was changed with no warning to R459900? The branch is simply shrugging their shoulders, blaming a “system error”. No one is taking responsibility! Unacceptable. ref 7711576

We bought a bakkie from them and had problems at the beginning with the salesman who eventually started being ok after contacting his manager Frikkie. Paid the bakkie in full, still waited for the SD card which was said to take 10 days to deliver. We went on holiday for two weeks, came back and contacted Frikkie about this. My husband seems very lenient about this, but after 2 weeks they even don't have it yet. I decided to put this review, seeing 1000' of rands were already paid, an agreement was reached to ensure we get this SD card after we come back from leave (they started organising to get it even BEFORE we went on leave.) I tried to get Frikkie's surname but with no avail. This bakkie might have been cheap to other people but paying so much and end up not getting what was agreed upon is bad service. I have expected more fro. VW. If we do not get the sd card by end of this week, I am going to lay a complaint to VW SA. Hopefully something will happen then.

I've been shopping around to see what deal I can get on the 2018+ Polo TSI highline/Comfortline. I visited multiple VW dealerships around the east rand. Every time I visited one and the salesman saw that I wasn't going to buy from them, they (other VW dealerships) immediately switched off and I could see they didn't want to really talk to me any longer. I met AK (Aadil khan) He told me he only had the Comfortline in my price range. I told him that I found a Highline and would no longer be purchasing from them. During the sale on the highline that I wanted I noticed some issues on the car, I phoned AK and asked him a few questions, AK gave me the EXACT same service he gave me the day I walked into VW princess. He never hesitated once to assist me with queries even after he knew that I would no longer buy from them. I decided to cancel my deal on the highline and drove straight to princess VW to sign the deal for the Comfortline. I really hope this message gets to VW head office and the Dealer principal at this dealership. It should be a shining example of how powerful great customer service is.
