Emeris Johannesburg Sandton
Based on recent customer reviews, Emeris Johannesburg Sandton receives sharply divided feedback. Students consistently praise the Career Centre, library staff, and lecturer support, highlighting hands-on learning, vibrant social events, and a welcoming campus environment. However, a recurring theme of frustration centres on the finance department and administrative processes, with customers mentioning unresolved refunds, blocked student portals, enrolment delays, and poor responsiveness. Reviewers also raise concerns about reception professionalism and the transition from VEGA and Varsity College to Emeris, suggesting communication and accountability gaps undermine an otherwise strong academic experience.

I am extremely frustrated with the poor service I’ve received from Emeris Finance regarding a refund that is long overdue. In January, I informed Emeris that my company would be paying my daughter’s full annual school fees (including the preregistration fee) by the end of February. Despite this, I was told that my daughter could not be registered unless I paid the preregistration fee upfront. As a result, I made two payments of R3000 each because the first credit card payment was delayed. My company then paid the full annual fees before the end of February, and I submitted proof of this payment on 26 February, clearly requesting a refund of the preregistration amount. To date, I have still not received my refund. Instead, Emeris continues to ask for documents that I have already submitted multiple times. This ongoing back-and-forth is unacceptable, frustrating, and reflects very poor service. I am requesting immediate resolution and payment of my refund without any further delays. This experience has been highly disappointing, and I expect accountability and urgency in resolving this matter.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally express my deep concern and dissatisfaction regarding the administrative and financial management at the institution. The current state of the Finance Department is, in my experience, severely disorganized. Furthermore, the transition and integration processes from VEGA to Varsity College, and now to Emeris, appear to have been inadequately managed. The consequences of these systemic failures have had a profoundly negative impact on my two daughters, both academically and administratively. The exclusive reliance on an online dashboard for communication, without accessible email contacts, student advisors, or designated points of contact, reflects a serious lack of transparency and accountability. It is extremely concerning that there appears to be no clear avenue for direct engagement or resolution of urgent matters. Given the gravity of the situation, I believe this matter warrants attention at a national level. I intend to escalate this complaint to the relevant authorities, including the Directorate for Private Colleges at the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), via [email protected] and [email protected]. Institutions entrusted with the education and wellbeing of students must be held accountable for their administrative and financial responsibilities. I trust that this matter will receive the urgent attention it deserves.

I’m writing this out of frustration and anger. Your enrollment has been poor. My brother still hasn’t been fully enrolled and classes are starting next. For two weeks we have been following up on the same issue. The Sandton campus can’t resolve it and National is telling us it should be resolved there. Registering was been fully paid up but process of enrolment is stuck. He can’t access timetable on access the intranet. This is also causing an inconvenience with the bursary he has. They’ve been waiting for finalisation of everything and nothing is happening. Please resolve this asap as the kid needs to start classes on Monday

The service at the front desk/reception at the new Emeris branch in Sandton is very poor. After i inquired about the school tour to look around the school, the staff rep**** “I don’t know about any tour so I don’t know how I’m supposed to help you”. Even after explaining that someone I knew was currently touring/walking around the school doing the tour with the staff they rep**** “ They could be anywhere right now so I can’t help you, you can sit down and message whoever you need to otherwise there’s nothing that can be done”. The staff at Emeris Sandton reception are a representation of inadequate professional standards and attitude over and beyond failure to demonstrate support and assistance. HR needs to revisit their bright idea of hiring students as employees.

17 September 2026 Varsity College Sandton hosted us for a market day . The Social Committee and Career Center hosted and led the event , and the event gave us an opportunity to see and discover small businesses that offered us amazing and friendly services while also granting us the opportunity to have fun , jam and unwind to good music and food . This was honestly a very sweet gesture by the Career Center to allow young entrepreneurs to show case their businesses. ❤️
