Online registration and credit transfer

We have been struggling with online registration and credit transfer for weeks now. No contact numbers and we keep getting referred to different people. We scheduled calls for assistance but no-one calls back. Very frustrating.

Paid for a Subject That Doesn’t Exist on ARC

I’ve already paid my deposit, yet my Project Management class doesn’t even show on ARC—the platform we’re required to use for our studies. I logged a ticket, but no one has responded. How is it acceptable to pay for a subject and not have access to it? This is not just frustrating, it’s unacceptable. I will not pay for this subject again. Students deserve accountability, not silence. I have proof of everything, lucky you I can't upload photos...

ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC SERVICES OFFERED BY EMERIS.

I have completed my degree, yet it has been nearly impossible to obtain an e copy of my certificate and I lost a good job opportunity because of this. I recently began applying for jobs and was fortunate enough to be accepted by a reputable company. However, they required a copy of my certificate as part of the hiring process. I was in contact with Nkosi Mpho who is ABSOLUTELY USELESS, she informed me that I would receive my certificate by the end of February. Unfortunately, she suffers with short term memory and forgot to get back to me. As a result, I lost the job opportunity because I had assured the company that I would provide the certificate by the end of February as i kept them waiting from the beginning of January. There has been no communication or update even tho I have been phoning in several times requesting management to contact me. With the current economic condition in this country, finding employment is already incredibly challenging. Losing such a valuable opportunity due to *********** people is deeply frustrating and disheartening. I had even provided proof that a company was requesting my certificate urgently, but this did not seem to expedite the process. This job opportunity would have allowed me to begin working and use the income to fund my Honours degree. It is extremely upsetting that this opportunity has been lost due to circumstances beyond my control.

Charged Their Mistake - Please do not consider Emeris to further your studies.

I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with the complete lack of communication from Emeris regarding the Project Management course. I was never informed that the course would not be offered this semester, yet I had already purchased the required textbook in preparation. It is now the third week of the semester, and I still have no content for two of my modules. As a distance student, I rely entirely on timely communication, uploaded lectures, and structured guidance to study effectively. How am I expected to keep up academically when there are no lectures, no materials, and no clear communication from the institution? To make matters worse, I only discovered that Project Management was not being offered after personally reaching out two weeks into the semester. Despite this being an institutional failure, I am now being charged a R1000 late registration fee. This is completely unfair, as the delay was caused by the institution’s lack of communication — not by me. This situation has placed unnecessary financial strain and academic stress on me. I expect the late registration fee to be waived and a refund for any additional costs I incurred due to this mismanagement. Students deserve transparency, accountability and proper academic support, especially in a distance learning environment.

Ongoing Confusion and Emotional Distress Regarding My Results

I have been contacting the school numerous times since 2025 regarding my results, and this process has honestly been very overwhelming and discouraging. Each time I called, I received different information from different agents. On some occasions, I was transferred to departments that had nothing to do with my query, and at times I was spoken to in a manner that made me feel unheard and dismissed. After months of trying to get clarity, I was fortunate to speak to one agent who truly stood out. She showed genuine care and patience, asked questions to fully understand my situation, and made me feel reassured that my matter was finally being taken seriously. For the first time, I felt hopeful and supported. Unfortunately, that hope was short-lived when I later received an email from the school that completely contradicted the information she had provided. This left me confused, emotionally drained, and at a loss for words. It feels as though every time I think I am getting closer to resolution, I am pushed back into uncer*****y.

Above and beyond

I just want to say a big thank you to Monica and Thulie for their incredible assistance. I urgently needed my registration confirmation submitted to my medical aid, and they truly went above and beyond to help fast track the process for me. Their support, patience, and willingness to assist made such a stressful situation so much easier, and because of them, I was able to get everything submitted on time. I really appreciate the effort they put in to help me it did not go unnoticed.
