Based on recent customer reviews, Emeris Durban North receives praise for its supportive student advisors, engaging campus events, and career services that connect students with real opportunities. However, significant frustrations arise around administrative processes, including unresponsive communication channels, delayed graduation certificate issuance, and a drawn-out refund process. Students and parents report being passed between departments without resolution. The registration period is particularly problematic, with portal issues and insufficient support staff compounding the experience.

Very poor communication or rather lack of
Emeris Durban North, your lack of service is disappointing and frustrating. We pay alot of money to send our children to your institution hence it is very frustrating when we try to email(no response) phone(rings on n on, the relevant department doesn't even answer) visit in person & we are told to login to the portal, please listen to us the portal is not automatically subtracting the bursary amounts for those that have a distinction pass. We are trying to sort out reregistrations and make payments. You really need to get your act together, maybe employ more support staff especially during the registration period, in order to give parents and students a seamless process.

KELLY BOOYSEN - STUDENT ADVISOR
My student advisor, Kelly Booysen, has been absolutely excellent. She is always professional, supportive, and quick to assist with any questions I have. I truly appreciate her dedication and friendly approach. Highly recommended!

Came with my friends to learn more about varsity college
Came with my friends to learn more about varsity college. Seems like a cool campus. I want to study supply chain management. Definitely a fun day. It was an open day for potential students

My experience has been a wholesome one
My experience has been a wholesome one. In first year I wasn’t involved with committees but ever since I joined in my second year I haven’t looked back. Gabbi who is the Career Services Specialist, she assisted me with a job opportunity. A parent came in looking for help, she recommended me and now I’m currently tutoring two amazing kids in grade 5 & 6

I have enjoyed my experience at Varsity College, I was able to partake in many activities and events as well as become a committee member
I have enjoyed my experience at Varsity College, I was able to partake in many activities and events as well as become a committee member. As a final year student left with only 1 exam paper to write I feel rather overwhelmed to be closing this chapter. The jounery has been filled with many ups and downs but so worth it in the end. 🙂

Varsity College – *****ulent Academic Record & No Accountability
Hello Peter, I am lodging this public complaint out of deep frustration after silence from Varsity College following a formal dispute I submitted regarding the wrongful application of “DNQ” (Did Not Qualify) and “FES” (Failed Exams) statuses to my academic record. To be absolutely clear: I formally deregistered in April 2021, well before the assessment period. I submitted valid medical documentation with my request. Despite this, Varsity College went ahead and recorded failure-linked outcomes against my name. When I escalated the matter, they outright refused to amend my record — offering no explanation or justification as to why they cannot correct what is clearly an administrative and ethical failure. I now have employment opportunities on hold due to the incorrect academic transcript they continue to issue, and Varsity College’s refusal to take responsibility is having real-world consequences on my career. This is not only a misrepresentation of my academic record but an issue of procedural misconduct, which I will now be referring to the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Council on Higher Education (CHE), and the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) if this is not urgently resolved. Varsity College — your continued silence and lack of transparency is unacceptable. I am prepared to take this as far as needed. ST10*****3
