Overcharged, No Quote Given & Intimidating Behavior I had a very unpleasant and concerning experience with 2 Cousins Locksmith, also know as MOBILE REPAIRE SERVICES I contacted them after accidentally locking my keys inside my car. I was informed of a R295 call-out fee, which I agreed to without hesitation. No formal quotation or estimate for labour was provided before the work was done. The technician opened the vehicle in approximately 3 minutes. I was then presented with an invoice of R3,800, which was completely unexpected and, in my view, grossly excessive for the service rendered. When I questioned the amount, the technician refused to leave until the full payment was made. This was extremely intimidating. As a woman alone at the time, the situation felt unsafe and coercive. I find these business practices dishonest and exploitative, particularly the lack of upfront pricing and the pressure app**** to force payment. I would not recommend 2 Cousins Locksmith and strongly caution others NOT do business with these sharks!

My wife accidentally locked her keys in her car. She called Two Cousins to come assist, after waiting 2 hours a guy, opened the car withing 5 minutes and charged my wife R3850. We didn't have that amount of money, he just said that he will wait there for it or call the police. Firstly to charge someone R3850 for 5 minutes work is uncalled for and extremely overpriced. Fortunately my friend could pay for us. What an unpleasant experience.

We were locked out of our home late on a Friday night and called Two Cousins Locksmiths. We were told the call-out fee was R295 and that additional charges would apply, but no quote or estimate was provided despite me asking before work started. After about 1.5 hours, I received an invoice for R5,100, later reduced to R4,800. When I contacted the office at around 23h30 and explained that I was willing to pay but needed assistance, I was told that if payment was not made immediately the technician would lock up again. Despite explaining that I was with my children and it was close to midnight, the technician was instructed to re-lock the house, leaving us stranded and forced to find alternative accommodation. This experience felt coercive and completely unacceptable. Customers should be informed of costs upfront and not left without access to their homes as leverage for payment.

I want to give this ZERO stars, MINUS 40 actually. These people are ******* and will rob you. Advertised as R295 callout, they came to open a safe, I asked for a ballpark figure which the lady said "it is all explained in the message". In the message it states the cost will be determined by time spent opening the safe, parts used, etc. I sent a photo of the safe and still didnt get any indication of a ballpark figure. They came and it was less than an hour spent opening the safe. I was informed they dont have the lock and will have to come back the next day to replace it. After the work was done I was told by the "technician" he has to wait for proof of payment first before he can leave. I received the invoice for R15000, YES FIFTEEN THOUSAND RAND. I asked him is this correct, and he said it is, I told them it is unacceptable and this is EXACTLY why I asked beforehand. I expected a MAXIMUM of R3000. But 15000 is an absolute *******. The final amount was 2000 discount, so R13000. I will definitely be seeing how I can go about taking this further, as I did ask beforehand and they would not give any figures or ballpark numbers on what it would cost. I sent a photo of the safe and they KNEW what safe they would be opening which they charge R10000 for (well apparently), 10k, yes, ten thousand rand. I will never recommend these people to anyone as they are dishonest and try to make a quick buck. I am also sure all the apparent "good reviews" are reviews done by themselves to make it look okay. Very very bad business people who ***** your money. I think they make their own prices up depending on the person they are "helping". Their website is also only 1 page trying to look professional, but everything just leads back to one page. You also talk to one person on WhatsApp, and she makes out as if it is a huge company, but in actual fact I think it is 2 or 3 people just trying to rob people. People who have zero qualifications, they just know how to use a drill.

The service was advertised as affordable and only mentioned the call out fee of R295. No opportunity was given to consider the cost of labour before the service was carried out and the final quoted fee was over R2300 for opening a door lock with a *****driver.

This the worse service that I have ever pair and no justification to justify their rate. I will recommend to not anyone. Because they look at house and you furniture and then give you a price after work is done.
