I am extremely disappointed with the lack of response and incorrect billing from SACAP.I formally withdrew from the Psychology and Counselling course on
5 March 2026. Term 1 commenced on
23 February 2026, and according to SACAP’s academic calendar,
Week 2 runs from 2–6 March. My withdrawal therefore clearly falls within Week 2.As per SACAP’s own withdrawal policy:
- Week 1: 25%
- Week 2: 50%
- Week 3: 75%
- After Week 4: 100%
Based on this, I should only be liable for
50% of the term fee. However, SACAP has invoiced me
R35,381, which reflects a
100% charge, and is incorrect.Despite sending multiple emails to both Student Admissions and the Finance Department, I have received
no response addressing my dispute. Instead, SACAP continues to send me
account statements and debit order communications, without acknowledging or resolving the incorrect billing. This is unacceptable.I am requesting:
- Immediate correction of the invoice in line with the withdrawal policy
- A revised statement reflecting the correct balance
- Confirmation that no further debit orders will be processed based on the incorrect amount
I expect urgent resolution of this matter.
