Felt Overlooked and Unwelcome From the Start
Extremely disappointed with my experience. This restaurant is constantly hyped on social media and highly recommended by many, so I was really looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, I never even got the chance. I called multiple times to make a booking, and the lady who answered would always insist that I email instead of simply answering basic questions over the phone. I did send the email — and even received an automated acknowledgment — yet no one responded. I followed up with a call and was told again that they'd get back to me. Days later, someone finally WhatsApped me, claimed they never received my email, and after I sent proof that I did, they went completely silent. I can’t help but feel that the lack of service and eventual ghosting may have been racially motivated. The initial calls were answered in Afrikaans, and after it was clear that I was not one of them, the energy shifted. It’s disheartening to feel deliberately overlooked when all I wanted was to support a local business. No one should have to chase down a response just to spend their money — the disregard was loud and clear.

Jackie, fantastic service and food. Splendid! Simply, Splendid! We would love to come back to The Shed & Silo to taste the Fathers Day special again. Thank you for such an incredible experience!! Coming to The Shed & Silo I can honestly say I have never ever had a bad experience here. From start to finish exceptional!! Johan, Elize and Lynnette.
