The Culinarium
Based on recent customer reviews, The Culinarium presents a sharply divided customer experience. A few shoppers praise competitive pricing, secure delivery of large appliances, and products arriving in excellent condition. However, a recurring theme is serious dissatisfaction tied to online orders, with customers consistently mentioning items marked in stock that turn out unavailable, damaged goods on arrival, and significant struggles obtaining refunds. Communication breakdowns across WhatsApp, email, and phone are frequently raised, alongside concerns about Payflex orders remaining open after cancellations, leaving buyers feeling stranded.

I bought a Kenwood kMix glass bowl from The Culinarium a month and a half ago. They sent the incorrect model. I notified them immediately, but they repeatedly failed to communicate, forcing me to follow up over several weeks. Eventually, they admitted they couldn't supply the correct part and agreed to a return and full refund.Their courier collected the item over a week ago, and communication entirely stopped again. When I phoned, they claimed the courier lost the parcel. That is a dispute between them and their logistics provider—not me. I have followed up multiple times since Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. Every time, I am promised the refund will be processed "before the end of the day," yet deadlines pass and I receive nothing. The Culinarium now has their item back, they have my money, and I have nothing but broken promises. Avoid buying from this company if you expect basic consumer accountability or reliable customer service.

I ordered a 537L KIC chest freezer from Culinarium on 27 November, and it was delivered to Port Elizabeth on 8 December (11 days). The delivery took a bit longer, but the price was the best in the country and there were no added delivery fees — so the wait was fair and expected. The freezer arrived in excellent condition, no dents, no damage, and it is already up and running perfectly. I switched it on at 6pm yesterday and it’s freezing beautifully. When I first checked, there weren’t many reviews for Culinarium, so I’m leaving mine to help others. They can be trusted. In my case, the supplier shipped directly, which explains the great pricing and slightly longer delivery time. Overall: great price, safe delivery, and a perfect product. Very satisfied.

I purchased a polarbox with them, it came with defects and I requested a replacement. The replacement had the same problems. I then called again spoke to Nkosi he said he would send a courier to fetch the polarbox it is almost a month dealing with their *********** service I called countless times the cooler was never fetched so I can get a refund. They tossed me back and for with their third party Bawas who was shipping the product for them. I would not recommend buying anything from these shops they do not even send updates on shipping details

WARNING . This is a **** Business...dont touch them!!! They take your money and don't deliver!!! When you finally get hold of them they tell you that the items ordered are out of stock. After sending all the order details plus my banking details for a refund you then get pushed to the online manager "Bawas" who never responds . Culinarium , you should be ashamed of yourselves for ****ming us out of our money.

I bought items on the online shop which stated clearly that is available and in stock. Only to inform me via WhatsApp that all the items I bought online are not in stock so they sent me items to chose from in which I liked only three items but did not like the other two and they were supposed to refund me for the other two items. I bought those items using Payflex . The issue is I have to still pay for the items via Payflex and they are supposed to refund me for those two products they didn’t have in stock. They promised to refund me via Payflex but until now no refund has been done via Payflex and when you reach out to Payflex they instruct you to tell the merchant to refund via their Payflex portal and The Culinarium have not done it. They are ****. Now I have to pay Payflex otherwise i will be blacklisted for not paying while they The Culinarium get to keep my money and no products . DONT BUY FROM THEM!!! That shop is ****ming people advertising that they have items in stock and make you chose items substitutions and items that you don’t get or want you are not refunded . Give me my money back .This is my first time purchasing from them .
