DEAR OMBUDSMAN I am writing to issue a final formal complaint regarding the funeral policies of my deceased family members, my Mother Chrisnel Hudson ID: 4310190053081; deceased 2 May 2026 7 years ago. My Father James Henry Hudson ID: 3808025063085; who passed away 12 February 2026, 6 years ago; and my sister Vernica Theresa Margret ID: 6806080126083 who past away 15 March 2026, 5 months ago. All required documentation have been submitted and also handed in at you offices by hand on numerous occasions, yet no payments, updated, or feedback have been received from the funeral policy provider as well as GEPF. According to their own policies, these payments should have been processed within 48 hours after death of my family members and receipt of all relevant documentation which was handed in at your offices by hand. This continued inaction constitutes gross mismanagement, breach of trust, and failure to comply with contractual and legal obligations. The delay has caused unnecessary hardship, and inconvenience, and may affect thousands of other beneficiaries if left unresolved. I hereby demand immediate payment, which must include: The funeral fund policy amounts owed, Accrued interest for the entire period of delay, calculated according to legal and contractual standards, and Full reimbur*****t of all costs and expenses incurred due to repeated visits, communications, and attempts to resolve this matter. Please be advised that if this matter is not resolved within 48 hours of this notice, I will escalate this issue without further delay to court for formal investigation and exposure. I expect written confirmation that the payments for my deceased family members process have commenced. All previously submitted and personally delivered documentation is available on for verification on request. This serves as your final warning to act in accordance with the law and your contractual obligations. This news paper not only employs Daniel Friedman (a self proclaimed comedian) as their editor, but someone who delights in the pain and suffering of other human beings. Do better.

My 4 th review on Hello Peter. It's beyond belief. I tried phoning the Citizen. 087 353 1292. Held on for 10 minutes , while listening to music. ( not very nice music). I then gave up- just a waste of airtime. Does The Citizen newspaper still exist ?

Paid for home delivery on 28 Nov 2024. Was promised that delivery would start on 2 Dec 2024. Still not delivered ( 18 Dec 2024). I phoned on 2 Dec- I was told it would be delivered later in the day, They **** !. I e mailed and was asked for more information. I gave the 2 reference numbers I was given ( 1 for weekday , one for Saturday ). I was then asked for invoices on 17 Dec 2024. I sent them the same day. Still no delivery. They have taken my money and not delivered. This is theft. If the paper is not delivered by 5 pm on Thurs 19 Dec 2024 I have no choice- lay a charge of theft with the SAPS.

Hein Kaiser, you placed an article on the serious fire in Laezonia on page 4 of 19 February 2024 Citizen. Where did you get the bs information from? It is so absolutely ridiculously removed from what happened. Why not speak to the people who live here and experienced the totality of the event. Or wouldn't that be sensational enough?

I have never come across a non-government accounts department as incompetent as that of The Citizen delivery service, On the Dot. Each time I renew my subscription I have to make a dozen or more phone calls and send repeated proof of payment to get any joy. As we stand, I have paid again for a non-expired subscription and yet have had no delivery for four weeks and counting.
