The boundary Man - broken promises and a million excuses!

I am not one who enjoys sharing negative reviews but I feel that I need to share my experience so that I can warn others who are considering using their services, not to.

Noel, the owner of the company quoted me on 9 August and assured me that as soon as I pay the deposit the materials will be bought and the job will be completed in a week. I paid for a front boundary vibacrete wall to be built, plastered and painted, a driveway sliding gate, pedestrian gate and two inside pedestrian gates to be installed. All gates to be steel frames with nutec.

11 August - cement poles delivered 12 August - promised that the builders will be here in the morning 13 August - was told the slabs were wet and curing and therefore could not come through 17 August - I was informed that the owner was going to meet with his installer to discuss a way forward 2 September - had a few days with rain in the previous week so understandably the work could not be done and was assured that an update will be given on their plans at the end of the day 4 September - I was burgled! If the wall had been up when they said it would be this would not have happened! Every day was another excuse, in a meeting - will call back, sorry didn't call etc. 9 September - was promised the installer would be here on Saturday 11 September - 10h00 i called to ask where they were, owner could not get hold of installer, installer finally called at 14h00 to apologise saying that he has been sitting on the side of the road waiting for the company that made the cement slabs to meet him and he is angry because they are closed on Saturdays. Promised he would be here on Monday first thing. 13 September - no one calls or is answering my calls. Installer finally arrives but he doesn't know what the job entails!!!!! I had to explain to him what needs to be done. No work done today! 14 September - installer finally arrives and has the holes for the cement poles dug out 17 September - no work done since the holes were dug out. Big mess in front of house. Now installers car is broken and is in for repairs. They are waiting for a car with a towbar to attach a trailer to transport materials. No one keeps me updated, i have to call or message every time. No one arrives today. 23 September - every day with a new excuse and I have already asked for my deposit back with no response. Finally today the poles were cemented into the ground. The installer says that nutec is not security efficient so we discuss a new plan. 27 September - I asked for a new quotation for steel gates with a 7-spike on top of gate, no nutec. They can't supply this to me. So I ask for an updated quotation and for them to leave the gates out completely. 28 September - the installer still has not worked on the walls - I have cement poles only. Also still waiting for my updated quotation which I am expecting will be far less than the deposit I have already paid.

Please please please! Do not consider using this company. You will have endless excuses about why they are not on site and the owner and installer do not communicate with each other. It has been almost a 2 month battle and I have lost all my patience.
