After receiving a great quote from Thomas, representing by vision log and Wendy homes in turn representing Tee and Dee Construction, requested a deposit which was duly paid. No surprise we have been fleeced. Reported them to the SAPS and ever hopeful we will be refunded.

Gary quoted me a log home at the end of March 2015. He came to my house to view where we are going to install the log cabin. I accepted the quote and paid the 65% deposit. I requested Gary to hold on the start of the project as we are waiting for the registration on the house to complete.

He phoned the next day to say that his suppliers special is sold out and requires me to pay nearly the full quoted amount.

He phoned me again a week after this and asked if its possible to pay full quoted amount for him to buy the roof tiles. He also asked if I could pay more as a loan that he would pay back at end of April 2015. Nice guy that I am I did this and fell for his stories!

This project was to start on mid May 2015 with excuse after excuse on why he did not start and postponing each week with another. In mid June I contacted my lawyers to start the process. Gary was sent a demand to pay the money back within 7 days and another letter after that to advise that we are going to proceed with legal steps. He has not responded!

Total amount paid is R68 837.00! The sad thing is that is costing me money to get my money back. Please do not do business with Gary or Tee and Dee!

On 9 Jan 2015, I've contacted Tee & Dee to enquire about their log homes. I spoke to Gary Brown from Tee & Dee Log Houses, who was very eager to do business. After receiving the quote, a few alterations was made that was not clearly stipulated on the quote. I paid a 60% deposit (R5 340.00), which on the quote they required a 50 % deposit. Before deposit was made on 9 January, Gary insisted that I pay the deposit before 14:00, in order to buy my wood at his supplier. Gary agreed then to start on Sunday, 11 January by clearing the area where the log home must be built. He then called to let me know that they will not be coming through on Sunday, but will start on Monday, 12 January as they have not finished by the previous site. Each time I had to follow up on the day they supposedly said they will come, just to hear it is postponed to Mo, then Wed then Fri and so it was repeated for 3 weeks. On 29 January, I called Gary saying that I am tired of waiting and that I'm cancelling my order and insisted a full refund, which I have not received up to now! He also has made no contact with me to date!!!
