I made a Lay Bye at the Belhar store in December 2019. Due to lockdown I never went to take out my Lay Bye during Narch 2020. I then went to the store during this week to cancel Lay Bye , I was then told the Lay Bye has been taken out , but I had both slips with me. It turns out they gave my Lay bye to my exboyfriend who didnt have any proof of this lay bye but he gsve my details and based on that he got my lay bye. The store manager now is telling me they only help people with slips, but how is that possible when I gad both slips the whole time. Im disdapointed with this kind of service because Im being given the run around. I went to SAPS they said the store should open a case againts the person who collected my lay bye, but the store manager is rather telling me I should contact their head office. Isnt it their responsibility to ask for proof of lay bye and identification upon collection. How do iI get my money back from this store?

I just want to say thank you for the two ladies at Speed Trainer at the Cape Gate Branch, (one-floor sales lady) & the point of sales lady who assisted me with my exchange of takkies that was a bit small for my daughter after months of lay-buying it for her... The takkie was a pair of Jordans white & rose gold in color and was one size small for her as it was hurting her when she decided to show off her takkies last week, she could not understand why...fitted her ok the day of lay-buy, months went by and only collected it in the beginning of Dec. I decided not to allow her to make use of the takkies and to return it last week Thursday at the Cape Gate Speed Trainer Branch again, I really expected a negative response or a fight which I prepared myself when stepping into the store... but with a Smile coming my way and asking how can I be of any help and explaining to her what my concern is, she politely took the bag out of my hand and ushered me to the Point of SALE lady which was even more politely to assist me. You know what, at that point, they both broke my anger and bad vibe to only smile back at them as I was shocked/surprised by their kindness and friendliness with Customer Service. No questions asked, was just asked: "Can I bring you another style and color in a bigger size"? The ladies also gestured me to take an extra half size in it just in case. If my daughter is not happy with the size/style or color she can bring it back to Cape Gate or to another branch closer to us. I was so happy to leave the Store with a smile and knowing I felt like a King too. Thank you, I did not get the two ladies' names...but they know who they are.

I'm disgusted by the fact that Speed Trainer Somerset West has sold my lay-by whilst I was still making payments well within the time-frame. Yesterday, 26 February 2019, I went to redeem my lay-by, only to find that they couldn't locate my shoe, and that it had been sold. I've spent 3months paying this off, only to leave empty handed. I am disgusted in the negligence you've portrayed and now I cannot find the size I require anywhere.

On Friday 22nd December 2017 I went to speed trainer n1 city mall to look for a pair of Chuck Taylor's for my daughter. The store never had her size and said they'll order a pair for her and it would definitely be at the store Sunday 24th December 2017. I asked the shop assistants multiple times if they are sure the shoe would arrive due to it being a long weekend and Sunday was only 2 days away and each time they assured me. I went to purchase myself a pair of Chuck Taylor's s too based on the fact that my daughter would be getting her pair because we have matching outfits for Christmas. Since Friday I haven't looked for a take for my daughter based on the fact that we'd be getting hers today and we made a payment. Today we went all the way back to the store to collect the shoes (and I do not live close to the mall at all) and we were told that they're not sure when the shoes will arrive, it won't be there today and no other store have a pair in her size. I now have no shoes for my daughter because of your ****py service, and I have spent an additional R700 purchasing shoes that I wouldn't have bought if I knew my daughter wouldn't be getting the same pair. Really guys? A DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS??? WHAT AM I LEFT TO DO??? ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
