Shop closed before 10 Minutes at Tygervalley Willowbrige. When I arrived the stuff said they have closed the tills. Time was 15:50pm and shop was supposed to be closed at 16:00pm on Saturday on 14th March 2026. I even explain to the lady in the entrance that I know the items I am coming to purchase but they did not allow me to get inside the shop

I ordered from School and Leisure Claremont Branch. On the 17th of March I went to buy a tracksuit for my son who goes to Claremont Primary, they did not have a size 26 or 28 which I was looking for then I ended up taking a size 30 which I had to return because it was too big. The return was done on the 17th of April 2025, and I was told since I had already paid the full amount for the tracksuit that I will be put on the list of orders and should expect a call to say I must go and collect which may take a few weeks. I understood and waited, I started following up a month later and was told that no stock had been received until I decided to go personally to the store on the 21 June. Which was after the teacher had told me that every child that was waiting for their order in her class had received. Upon my arrival at the store I was told that they did receive the sizes I had opted for, but no one was aware of my order, and everything had been sold out again. I was promised that the manager would give me a call on the following Monday, which was the 23rd of June 2025, I waited for another 5 days for that call until I decided to phone the store again the 27th of June 2025. When I called, the Assistant Manager sounded like he was surprised to hear that the manager did not contact me and asked me to phone back later which I did. When I spoke with the manager, she sounded nonchalant about the fact that she had not provided me with any feedback, let alone the fact that she had never taken time to call and explain to me what the progress of my order is. She insisted that it was the supplier’s fault that they have not received the size I had ordered since (which was obviously a lie). She said the supplier is not picking up any calls and is not in any position to give me a turnaround time as she needs to speak with the supplier on Monday morning the 30th of June. I still am awaiting feedback from the manager today in terms of what the turnaround time is going to be based on what the supplier has told her. I tried to call the store again today and I was told the manager is not in office from yesterday. 1. My son does not have a tracksuit for school when I paid for it on time and in full. 2. I am not being attended to as if this issue is minor. 3. I am not being prioritized let alone being valued. 4. I am not the only parent with this kind of problem; we are quite a number. 5. Is school and leisure always treating their customers in this unpleasant manner? 6. Is this ever going to be resolved and when or who do I need to speak to get attention? 7. Does this mean my son will still be wearing summer uniform in winter even when the school re-open on the 22 of July? Regards Frustrated mother /Customer

The School and Leisure in Parkview Shopping Centre (Pretoria East) charges an arm and a leg for the Pretoria Chinese School (PSC) uniform and yet the quality of the school uniform is horrible. I complain at the store every time I go buy and unfortunately I do not have another place where I can go get the uniform. I am forced to buy there. The service provider for that PSC uniform has to do better. I do not mind paying for quality but right now, there is no value for money.

As a customer I am going to take this matter to the the consumer commissioner that is there to help us and protect us. We have a consumers Act to protect us against businesses like this one that wants us to purchase items and then unable to keep us happy if we not okay with what we were misinformed about. On the 16 January 2025. I went to the store in stadium on main, Claremont. I was helped by a shop assistance a gentlemen where I asked him for a size 12 buccaneer shoe for my daughter whom started Gr1. He then told me I should rather take the 11. 5 because it is a big make. I took his word for it. I paid 459.00 cash. When my daughter came home the next day she cried because she said the shoes hurt her so much. My daughter also had surgery on both legs and is so important to have comfortable shoes on. Being a single parent i was unable to get off from work for that week and had to send my daughter to school with takkies and sadly being the only Chid with takkies I was asked to ensure she wears her full uniform and not takkies. I could only get off from work today and approached the store where I dealt with the apparent manager and a female whom I assume is a shop assistant. I was disgusted with the attitude I received from them both. No empathy. Arrogant and refused to exchange the shoe for a bigger size. They then told me the company will be at a lost and if I expect them to resell it. I then told them to take it up with the assistant whom misinformed me and which is against the consumers Act to begin with. They told me they are awaiting their manager whom is to arrive at 11am and will call me back before 12. I have stressed the matter that I do not live in the area and I have to get the shoes when I return at 1pm to fetch my kids from school. They promised and undelivered. At 12 I had to call back and the female Devonia told me they cannot make the call regarding the exchange and have to wait on the manager. I questioned customer service they said there's nothing they can do. They also refused to give me a contact number to the head office or transfer my call. I wonder is there even a head office for SCHOOL OF LEISURE? she the. Promised to call me back. I called two different stores. I'm Cape Town spoke to a Nadine and then to Goodwood where I spoke to the manager Lindsay and she seemed and sounded like a customer driven person. She promised to call the manager of Claremont apparently her name is NATASHA and it will be sorted. I stressed the matter I do not have that amount of money to purchase another pair. Devonia at stadium on main even I insinuated that my daughter had worn the shoes for long calling me a ****. The stand in manager at stadium on main called me at 14h40 told me all the managers had decided they cannot exchange because the shoe was worn and I can take it further. Very rude and very abrupt. I don't know why he is in a manager's position with no empathy. I called Lindsay back the manager of Goodwood. I again asked where the head office is or the contact number. She promised to transfer my call and said I should speak to Leticia. I was on the line and then the call ended. Nobody has called me back ever since. This business is an embarrassment to any other business. I want my shoe exchanged and I want to be reimbursed for my fuel when collecting as well as my airtime wasted on these unprofessional people.

I must express my extreme dissatisfaction with the handling of a recent return at School and Leisure, uniform stockists, Lonehill branch. I attempted to return a package of shirts that were mis-sized despite identical packaging and labelling. Upon inspection, it was evident that one set of shirts was significantly smaller than the other, indicating a quality control issue. Instead of a helpful resolution, I was met with hostility and accusations of the smaller garments having been worn. This was patently false, as the shirts were demonstrably unworn and retained the original creases from their packaging. While I understand the need for vigilance against *****ulent returns, the manner in which this situation was handled was unacceptable. A simple apology for the inconvenience and an assurance that the supplier would be informed of the discrepancy would have been appropriate. Regrettably, the aggressive and dismissive attitude of the staff member created an unnecessarily unpleasant experience. It is an insult that an unprofessional business such as this holds me captive on account of it being a designated uniform supplier for my childrens' school. To the woman who claimed to be "Just doing her job!" - you failed sufficiently to warrant this shocking review.

Don't even deserve one star. Had the absolute worst experience ever. The sales lady bluntly told me not there fault they don't have stock as I came to late on the 11 Jan. When I asked her what about people being away for the holidays or like my case I was hospitalised and in recovery for a month. She just rolled her shoulders and said I'm a casual. That day I got 3 different reasons why they don't have stock. Never the less they the only clothing shop one can purchase my child school clothes. The exsuces I got is really ridiculous as I'm a Procurement and staff Logistics Manager very disappointed in the service and staff.

I cannot fathom why their prices are so ridiculously high. We are a school not in a major enough centre to warrant a branch. The cost of the uniforms at this shop are exorbitant to start, and then they charge a ridiculous R150 delivery. It definitely does not cost them more than R100 to deliver 2 shirts. And if the stuff doesn't fit, we can return it AT OUT EXPENSE. But they have us by the short and curlies because there is no other supplier (somewhat *******, I feel). They also had no stock throughout December when I did have money for uniform. Now suddenly have stock and I have to beg, borrow and *****. The audacity. At that price, stock should be available always and delivered for free.
