I received a quotation from Lifestyle guttering in early December 2015, I agreed to the quote on the priviso that the work would be done on a certain day. That was agreed and I paid a 50% deposit.<br> <br> The promised day of installation came and no work commenced, after phoning to find out why I was given multiple stories. No work was done the following day and after more calls, Rudi said he wouldn't be able to do the job until the new year \because his supplier has no stock\". I told him to cancel my order and refund my deposit because I then got another supplier to do the work.<br> <br> Despite repeated calls, and emails, the deposit has still not been refunded. Rudi will not take my calls, his office staff seem unable to assist. I am now having to spend my time on a legal solution.<br> <br> This company is unethical, and I would recommend that you do not ever use them for any reason. "

Supplier insisted on credit card details to secure deposit. Work was not fully completed and when requesting rectification on poor workmanship and faulty installation they give you bad attitude. Work never fully completed and errors not fixed.

The roof coating applied by Lifestyle Guttering began flaking after a year though there is a 10-year workmanship guarantee and a 20-year life time guarantee. I asked them to look at the roof and was immediately told that the reason was 'hail damage' and I should approach my insurance company.<br> I doubted this but decided that I should do as they suggested. Absa did two assessments both of which stated that the reason for the flaking roof coating was bad preparation of the surface and declined liability.<br> I reported this to Lifestyle Guttering who said that Absa was attempting to avoid payment. Lifestyle Guttering had already sent me a quote to repair the damage that was exactly the same amount as they originally charged me, R9 000!<br> I spoke to my attorney who said that R9 000 was too small an amount for me to sue them and suggested that I go to the Small Claims Court. I did as Small Claims suggested but the registered letter sent to Lifestyle Guttering was returned as not accepted. I am currently having the roof repainted and have written off the R9 000 to experience

We contracted Unique guttering to harvest water for gardening and protect the house from flooding as it slopes at our home (87 Dunblane Estates). They charged us R60 000.00 to fit new gutters, harvest water, and protect the walls from over flooding. They fitted gutters but THEY LEAK, fitted two tanks THAT ARE OVER FLOWING without A PUMP, The tank doesn't a lid and is dangerous for the children.<br> <br> We were promised that after they complete the work, we will no longer experience dampness on the walls and overflooding, that never materialised.<br> <br> We have emailed and contacted him severally but the company is non-responsive, promised to come but never showed up. The tanks are now overflowing on the walls and they have not come yet. This will affect the value of the house badly and we are concerned and not happy with the company's level of customer service.<br> <br> Your assistance is much appreciated.<br>
