Based on recent customer reviews, Renew-it Sandton receives sharply divided feedback. Customers consistently praise individual staff members such as Sofleen, Samantha, Charity, and Vanca for warm communication, regular updates, and going the extra mile during stressful insurance repairs. However, a recurring theme is poor workmanship requiring multiple return visits, with clients reporting misaligned panels, unresolved mechanical faults, missing parts, and faulty electronics after collection. Many also describe a lack of proactive communication from management, forcing customers to chase updates and escalate unresolved issues themselves.

I am actually just having such a horrible time with the worst time with the service I am receiving from the customer service agent assigned to me. From the onset, I request updates regarding the process for reasons that I provided to Charity. I made four requests for timelines by email, and she only provided me with the timelines after the fourth request. Thereafter, I received updates via WhatsApp in terms of which I was told that I would receive updates. I barely got any updates. I am at a point where I am literally begging for updates. I informed her that I needed clarity on how far back this process would delay. According to the timeline that she provided me with, the entire process was meant to be completed by 22 May, I contacted her on said date to inquire about payments, but she took the liberty to advise that an assessor from my insurer would be sent to assess the vehicle on 25 May. On 26 May, I called Charity to request an update. She advised that my insurer still had not sent an assessor. I contacted my insurer to find out what the delay was because when the vehicle was initially brought in, the assessor was quick. The service agent from my insurance company contacted Charity, and he was given much more information than I was. The insurer's service agent advised that the vehicle had to be taken back in for further repairs. I am not sure why, when I contacted Charity, she couldn't have informed me of this. I am actually super frustrated and unimpressed by the lack of communication. I am further concerned about the quality of work that will be done as a result of this service that I am receiving. While I appreciate that mine is not the only vehicle that's being serviced, I would have really had a lot more peace of mind receiving regular updates from the service agent assigned to my vehicle. On another occasion, I called in requesting to speak to the manager, but somehow I was contacted by the very person whose service is a thorn.

I had an excellent experience with Renew It Sandton Autobody's team. A very special thanks to Sofleen who kept me informed throughout the entire process and always made sure she notified me of every update regarding my car. She truly went the extra mile, which I really appreciated. The team was also very fast and efficient in completing the repairs. On the day I collected my car, two ladies at the reception were incredibly welcoming and professional. Many thanks to Charity who carefully went through the entire process with me, making everything smooth and hassle-free. I’m extremely happy with the quality of work done on my car. The team was professional, efficient, and customer-focused from start to finish. I couldn’t be happier with their service and would highly recommend them.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Renew-It Sandton. My accident happened in August 2025, and my vehicle was returned to me in September. From the start, it was clear that the job was not properly completed. Firstly, the grill was not ordered as part of the initial repair process. I then had to wait months for it, and only after constant follow-ups on my side was it finally resolved in December 2025. At no point did Renew-It proactively communicate or keep me updated. Secondly, a faulty parking sensor was identified shortly after I collected the vehicle. Once again, I was told in December that the sensor had been ordered. After months of chasing, I have now discovered, 4 MONTHS LATER, that the sensor was never ordered at all because approval was still outstanding. So the exact same pattern has repeated itself: Parts not ordered when they should have been - No follow-up from Renew-It - No communication unless I chase - Months of unnecessary delays What is most concerning is that no proper quality checks were done before handing the vehicle back to me, and no ownership has been taken to ensure that outstanding issues are resolved. At this point: - I had to chase to get the grille sorted - I am now chasing again for the sensor - There has been zero proactive service This is completely unacceptable. A repairer should manage the process and follow up on outstanding approvals, not leave the client to do all the work. I expect this matter to be resolved urgently.

I had a very disappointing experience with Renew-it Sandton. My car was involved in an accident, and my insurance arranged for it to be repaired at this branch. I was later informed that my car was ready for collection, but when I arrived, I found that several items were not fixed. The hooter was not working, the car was vibrating, and the radio was no longer working. On my way home, the car started overheating, and I discovered there was a radiator leak. I returned the car, and the radiator was repaired. I was then contacted again by a lady named Vanca to collect the vehicle. However, when I arrived, it was still not ready. The air filter pipes were missing and not fitted, and the hooter was once again not working. Even after these issues were addressed, more problems appeared. The right fog light is not working, the air conditioning only works on one side, the windscreen washer bottle is leaking, the radio is still faulty, and the car continues to vibrate. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. Each time I collect the car, new issues arise. The quality of service and attention to detail are unacceptable. I would not recommend this place.

I had an excellent experience with Renew-It Panelbeaters in Sandton. From the moment my car went in for repairs, the team kept me informed every step of the way. Their communication was consistent, professional, and reassuring throughout the entire process. What really stood out was the regular updates on the progress of the repair. I never had to chase them for information—they made sure I always knew what was happening with my vehicle, which made a stressful situation so much easier to deal with. The workmanship was also top quality, and my car was returned looking as good as new. It’s clear that they take pride in both their work and their customer service. Thank you to the Renew-It Sandton team for the professionalism, transparency, and excellent service. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable and trustworthy panel beating services. A special thanks to vanca👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

I was in a car accident in March, and my car was taken to Renewit Sandton. The insurance paid their part, but I still had to pay a R35,000 excess, which was really difficult since I had just come back from maternity leave. I was stressed, broke, and honestly didn’t think my car would ever look the same again. Then an angel named Sofie reached out, explained everything clearly, and even helped me set up a payment plan. Throughout the process, Sofie and Tia were incredibly kind and supportive — never once did they threaten or pressure me, even when I struggled to make payments. They always encouraged me and kept me updated about my car. After seven long months, I finally collected my car yesterday — and I cried when I saw it. It looked brand new, even better than I expected! I’m so grateful to Sofie, Tia, and the Renewit Sandton team for their patience, understanding, and excellent work. Thank you also to the manager, who helped when I needed more time to raise funds. You all went above and beyond. 🙏 THANK YOU, RENEWIT SANDTON! You turned a stressful experience into something I’ll always be grateful for. ❤️
