My car broke down in the northern cape 8 hours from where I live ,the engine needed to be replaced just over 1 month of buying this car from a dealership and taking a vehicle finance loan from the bank, which I still need to pay for the next 5 and half years, this car has been in northern cape since January, remtec wanted half the deposit to build an engine which they took in June , knowing that company is getting liquidated and still ******** money from people, last communication via email was 24 June saying they waiting for parts, the workshop where the car is was communicating with them but they were not answering emails nor calls,I tried calling the phone just rings and says the number is not available,so I started reading reviews when I saw that they have done this so many people,I'm so disappointed, disgusted, heartbroken to know that these people behave like common *******,I don't know what to do ? If anyone knows how to resolve this? Anyone can help me information,it will be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a remanufactured engine from Remtec in February 2024, I went for their engine as they offered a 100000km warranty and everyone else provided a 10000km the engine was fitted but had an oil leak Remtec approved the replacement of the gasket and my mechanic went ahead when he inquired about payment for the repair he found out Remtec has closed down. now they are trying to recover their funds from me and I'm out of a warranty.

Paid a deposit for a engine couple of weeks back. Tried getting an ETA every week and the response was that they are just waiting for a part and will take a week or 2...Tried calling them on Monday (1st of July) to follow up again...Business closed. Website down. No way to get hold of anyone. Not sure how I'm going to get my money back.

Ford Ecoboost engine sent to Remtech for rebuild. Engine arrived at Remtec 1 Aug 2022, and arrives back in George (300km away) on 28 Sep 2022. Engine gets installed and car started and oil splats all over the place. The superior people at Remtec forgot to put a welsh plug into the hole they drilled into the engine. Engine taken out again, sent to Remtec on 7 October. Engine returns 26 October and gets installed again. On 3 November I discover a massive oil leak and inform Remtec. Long story short, no reply from Remtec until 4 days ago. Now car presenting with oil and water mixing, excessive smoke, gasket leak on cylinder 2 & 3, car still leaking oil and I have no transport and have run out of money to get myself and my family around. Engine now needs to be taken out again and sent to Remtec, leaving me without transport again. I contact Remtec, warranty guy is not at work. They cant give me a courtesy vehicle because they dont work like that. They cant help with rental car either. They cant tell me what is going to happen next because there is only 1 guy that knows what goes on. There is absolutely nothing superior about this company or their workmanship. Do not make use of them. They get paid and then they are done with you. Stay AWAY!!

I got a new engine from Remtec Superior engine solutions on 17 August 2022 invoice was paid R52900.00, and the engine Ford Ranger 3.2 was sent to Johannesburg. The engine was not working properly the oil pump was not working, after 8 days of the phone call and Remtec send a person out to inspect the engine and said the oil pump was not working, two days later a new engine was sent and now its the same problem whit the second engine. Spoken to Remtac and was told that they have contacted the garage and it is now 28 days later and still no car running. Every day I am using uber and cost me R700.00 per day. It seems that there is no proper response from Remtec Premium Engine Solutions. I am at the end of my rope now. I need my car fixed urgent or they must supply me with a car till it's been fixed. Two new engines and both are faulty. The man that was spoken to Koos at have not come back to me and does not answer his phone now.

I was quoted for engine rebuild with 2-3 weeks, turn around. I paid 35,000zar upfront, based on this quote. After months of chasing, with them not answering emails or calls, and full of excuses when they do answer. I finally received the engine back after 3 MONTHS. This is just a common ford ecoboost engine, not a Lamborghini. When the garage installed it the engine light came on again. On inspection the timing was set wrong, this required more work and it was evident that some parts had been reused instead of replaced as per Ford procedure. The cars has done 450km and now using water and smoking, not part of the initial problems. Throughout Remtec had show little concern in their client. Don't be fooled by the fancy website.
